Title: Is Colorado starting a new trend?
Post by: LurkerNoMore on December 19, 2023, 04:16:06 PM
Removing Trumpy from their 2024 ballot?   Discuss!

(By discuss, I mean whine, cry, deny, stick your finger in your eye, refute, support, post up any CTs you may have.)

Tsk tsk....could be considered voter suppression couldn't it? Not allowing the people to vote for who they want?
I wish republicans would sack up and be as retarded as democrats. Pussies need to learn to fight fire with fire and spite with spite.

Funny how even other liberal SCOTUS's in other states ruled that he should stay on their ballots but the SCOTUS's in Libtardia, Colorado said he couldn't. Trump already was found not guilty. I guess Colorado deemed it necessary to bypass already due process and make their own judgements. Stalin would be proud.

Or maybe Colorado doesn't give a damn with going with the status flow and instead decided to stand up for their voters being disenfranchised by the nonstop lies, fake court cases, and general ass hat behavior.

Nevertheless, keep those donations posts coming.   :)

Yes….because fuck rule of law and the constitution. Isn’t that the lefts tagline? Not even liberal Constitutional scholars and pundits are falling for it. Just more blatant election interference because they know they can’t win any other way.

Fuck the rule of law?  And the Constitution?  You mean like fraudulently attempting to stay in power after losing the election?  Does the bogus lawsuits, recounts and fake elector attempt count as election interference?

You better hope the SC overturns it.  Otherwise that is going to be the biggest bitch slap ever.

He didn't do that dipshit, if you want to go down that road then you better take Clinton, Abrams and literally everyone else. How about this, Junior. How about we disqualify Biden for the open boarders in all states along with bribery and treason seeing the mountains of evidence Oversite has.

Yes he did.  Bogus lawsuits with no evidence.  Begging state officials to commit fraud.  Recounts (which only increased Biden’s lead), lie after lie after lie of the stolen election, fake electors trying to change the course, etc…

Get an indictment and I will agree Biden needs to be disqualified.

He was never convicted of an "insurrection" and neither was anyone else. He was never even charged with an "insurrection", he was acquitted on the second fake impeachment on charges related to the events of the fake "insurrection". The 14th amendment doesn't apply to the president.

A candidate being disqualified to be on the ballot is not unique to Trump. Barring or removing candidates from appearing on the ballot for failing to meet substantive or procedural qualifications is a routine and basic process and is common in all 50 States. Every state plus the District of Columbia has excluded candidates who lacked the necessary qualifications, including presidential candidates who don’t meet constitutional qualifications. When a potential candidate files a declaration of candidacy, the secretary of state must confirm their qualifications and, by statute, is precluded from listing on the ballot a candidate who is ineligible. Trump is not being targeted or victimized as he and his supporters would have folks believe in Colorado or in any other states that determine he is disqualified to run for office.

Most states let allow for write in votes for president, U.S. senator, and U.S. representative. Voters may decide to write in the name of a candidate not appearing on a state’s ballot. However, the rules for this do vary by state. Writing in a name does not mean that the votes will count. In fact the recent ruling addresses this issue. If it stands, write-in votes for Trump will not be counted.

A trend of being ineffective at Bolshevism?   8)

"In response to the Colorado Supreme Court's decision to bar former President Donald Trump from appearing on state ballots, the Colorado Republican Party has trotted out a loophole - whereby they'll switch from a primary ballot system to a caucus system."

Oh right, so likewise according to you anything that happens which doesn't favor Trump is the result of effective Bolshevism. According to Coach and now you, people are either pro Trump or they are Communists. ::)

Just so you know, from what I have read today, the success of the Colorado GOP using the caucus system to circumvent a Supreme Court ruling is not exactly slam-dunk. Among other problems, the Colorado Secretary of State would have to approve it. It does not appear that this would happen. Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold said she'd rely on the decision of the highest court to rule on the matter when certifying ballots for the 2024 election in Colorado.

Don't worry the SC will straighten this right out.

No excuses.  <---  If Trumpy loses in 2024, there won't be any excuses like this.

Colorado used a caucus instead of a primary in 2016, which Cruz won.  I don't think that Colorado excluding Trump from the primaries will be consequential for Trump's campaign.

All election interference.
Taking Trump off the ballot is unconstitutional, will be tossed.
Colorado is a lib shithole, Trump laughs a Colorado.
Trump will surge in the polls once again.
Libs World is coming to an end.
Mass suicide of Libs would be fantastic.

All that time in school and no idea of history. Why are these red tactics needed? Why not just "win" with a better platform?

Presidential primary (hopeful) candidate, Niki Haley said she doesn't need Colorado's help and that she will win the election 'on her own." She has been advancing in the polls lately. Do you agree with Haley's comments?
