From a non-economic perspective, quality of life is the big one.

Prices not increasing(just the dollar being diluted) double digits would help.

If you were around for almost 80 years like me, you experienced strong U.S. economies and weak ones. Economies ebb and flow. The economy is good for people when they can easily cover their expenses, increase their savings, and enjoy some of the fun things in life like recreation and travel. Today's economy works for me for many reasons most of which have nothing to do with which U.S President is in office. Also, it helps that I am an optimist.

Sounds about right. The ability to earn a living without inflation eating up all of your discretionary income. The ability to buy a home. To drive a decent car. To raise a family without public assistance. To have enough resources to engage in fun stuff.

Having disposable income at most levels, not just the rich.
It creates so many more opportunities for other folks when folks can pay additional things like pitching/hitting lessons, personal trainers, etc.....stuff like that.

Kind of my assertion was, is how much a president affects the economy which in turn affects a normal person's life compared to that person's own efforts. Because we often talk about how good a president was with the economy, and I have seen high gas prices, inflation, housing crashes, etc, with all presidents. Then we get into arguments about cherry-picked stats and blaming the previous administration.

I have always viewed the economy as cyclical, and Presidents received accolades or criticisms mostly just where the cycle was when the got elected. Meaning, I didn't give too much credit either way.
While I am no big fan of DJT, I do believe that he gave Wall St confidence (whether real or not), and perception translated into reality. Conversely, I for sure feel Biden has contributed to inflation, due to the influx of cheap $.

My thinking is likely completely naive and ignorant. I was not paying much attention in economics class in HS in the 80's. But when we print a bunch of money or send those checks out for COVID, doesn't that always lead to inflation? We were so worried about businesses failing and seemed like only the small ones suffered and the big ones got richer?
