how accurate are they when it comes to bf, water, bone mass, blood volume, ect??... i was just looking for a run of mill scale on amazon and noticed some of these contraptions..not to mention the prices! any opinions? itd be nice if they were reliable.

All my doctors have told me they're not very accurate but will admit that if I had one 50 years ago it would've been totally Trek.

There's no standardization among them. I remember reading that the Naval Bodyfat Calculator Measurements calculations perform better than the scales, and they are usually off by 1-3% BF for most people -

Depends on how close to the toilet you place it, and whether or not you get pee on it.

Those body fat scales are off the chart inaccurate. Especially if you're a lean athlete.
On a different note I keep my bathroom scale in the kitchen. Yes, I roll like that.

Had a few electronic ones over the years, always came back to mechanical sort for one reason or another
If I won the lottery, I always wanted one of those really big old fashioned public scales with the visible workings

I used to do that when I was dieting hard to compete - stepped on the thing every time I wanted to cheat. That and the classic B&W pics of Berry DeMey on my fridge door helped me through some tough times LOL
