Many quality physiques.

The camera guys always fucked up with all the zooming in.
They totally botched the 93 olympia.

Achim Albrect was at his best in 1991

Fucker had an 8 pack. Arms were a little undersized but otherwise a good build.

Haney was unbeatable

Haney was unbeatable
Interesting rear lat spread, only person to ever beat Yates at that pose. As good as Haney is in 91, Yates 93 was another level again. But Haney was great in 91 he needed to be.
-
Funny how they all were super-soft in the glute-ham area back then.

Yates 93 is unbeatable imo, simply the best

Shocked he never won the Olympia.

Well, glute fans possibly like this trend with the posing trunks all hiked up these days

Guy doesn't have even an ounce of fat... Gets dangerous at this level of conditioning.
Team Momo, Team Munzer...

Show us a picture of him on stage lights, oiled up.

One of the best shows ever in my opinion. It was an evolutionary shift on the sport from one.all time great to another the following year. Dorian pushed Haney to be his best that year (because it was needed). And Haney's victory (combined with Momo's at the night of champions) pushed Yates to be NEXT LEVEL the following year and get the win.

I still like Haney's V Taper better than Yates .

A better v-taper, but 93 Yates crushes Haney in many other aspects

Crazy how smooth they were back then. That's literally 6-weeks-out conditioning these days lol

It's so weird. Anyone have an explanation? Modern bb's are so carved out in their hams and soft as fuck everywhere else

You must’ve missed the 1990 NOC, then.

Yup.
Apparently that's what made him go nust and key on back training.

Momo was a pocket monster at his peak that year. Phenomenal. RIP

Padilla was incredible in that show as well

One of the greatest stage "death face" looks we have ever seen. It was one of the best returns to the stage after an extended time away that we have seen. He and Platz were robbed in 81 and he popped back up to show folks he could still hang with the best.

100%
I concede Momo and his back were on point that year. One of the best short guys ever.

Death face literally. Its a silly game.

Padilla initially looked great in his 90's comeback. His conditioning was close to his 81 shape but about 35 lbs bigger. That 90 NOC Padilla and Momo were the first guys I remember seeing in a bodybuilding contest with distended bellies , but completely ripped. They still weren't the ridiculous guts that guys started having years later but that really stood out at that show.

Haney was amazing that year. Neither he nor Dorian really knew how to pose. By 93, Dorian's posing was excellent IMO. It really makes a huge difference.

Yates was a true professional who mastered every aspect of bodybuilding.
