One of the great rock songs was Go all the way. Classic. Great rocker. He was asked what's the best way to learn guitar. His answer was to first learn how to play the piano. Funny guy.

The Manhattan neighborhood where I grew up used to block off the street to traffic for block parties. Someone always had a turntable playing records, and the two songs I recall the most were Valens’ “La Bamba” and The Raspberries’ “Go All the Way.”
Carmen wrote some nice pop tunes. He commented that the secret to his songwriting was to get to the chorus as quickly as possible, and he did.
