Also, he see's his teammate there and a center doesn't move around much so he knew he'd catch it. What's surprising is that he didn't throw it to a teammate to shoot miss a 3 pointer. What's odd is that the defense wasn't playing a zone and the offense wasn't all beyond the 3 point line. Wait - is this video taken from the 80's?

I barely watch NBA now, but I did see his bank shot which was impressive.
