Title: i think that i might be training too hard

at the end of this vid he says if you are training in the 5-8 rep range train to one rep shy of failure ie. 1 rep in reserve, he says 3-4 reps in reserve is not good

he also says don't train past failure with drop sets or partials

i train this way all the fucking time

but he says if you train with high reps ie,. 15-30 then you can go to failure

hmmmmmm....

i'm am doing very high volume on bis and tris and quite a but lower volume on pecs, delts and lats, so we will see what da fuck happens

if he is right i will add more size on my arms

If you are primarily after hypertrophy then you need volume- on average 5 sets about twice a week for each movement. So that's 10 sets a week for biceps, for example. If you do 20, 30 or more sets the research shows there isn't a whole lot more gain- meaning there is an optimum amount you can do for 90% of the results. If you feel like doing more then do whatever floats your boat.

Every weight trainer has an opinion on this but the difference between strength and hypertrophic training is real.

I could go on a huge rant about the pretty silly RIR training (it depends on context). Who doesn't do curls or pushdowns to approximate failure? Avoiding failure on small movements like this - you're going nowhere pretty much.

And Jeff was a combination of both very well read and bodybuilding with decent genetics but he had to work for every gain. He wasn’t the greatest shaped or the greater structured guy, but did a lot with it through exercise, eating drugs, etc. he was more getting caught Cory to be a champion. He later on did better as he got older.

the second guy said volume is king and the more volume you do the better so i will find out which is better as i am using volume of bis and tris (bout 40 high rep failure sets per week training then twice a week) vs much lower volume on delts, pecs and lats (bout 6 failure sets per week training them once per week)

time will tell and i will have good data

this dude says high high volume on arms he got very good arms

I don't know if you got or believe my point in that high volume training can bump up measurements due to temporary swelling due to inflammation, it can be significant. I really don't think someone does not grow because of insufficient volume. I firmly believe a Dorian type volume is ideal in most cases. One good "honest set" (a term I believe Gironda used) per exercise is as good as it gets. Maybe 2 sets sometimes. Yates got so much right, not that he was the originator of this HIT idea. I'm not saying I'm the arbitrator of "truth," but it's my opinion based on 25-30 years of training and observation  :)

i almost have to train to failure being influnced by AJ and mentzer and i think one is a little fucking pussy of they dont push to failure and even beyond failure

they say hyprthropy rep ranges are from 5 to 30 reps and i believe this

Practically anything you do works. Doing the perfect workout plan will bring marginal gains over anything else. If you are competing it is important to do the best workout possible. For everyone else just do what you like.

         Guys . Look. DJ is mentally ill. He is what us normal people refer to as a RETARD. A skinny retard but still a retard. He does this shit just to cause us to insult him and more. He loves to stir up crap. Weather it is on here or inside a young boys ass. He loves stirring it up. He has NOTHING and will NEVER have anything. He is a real LOSER both in the gym and in real life.  He has no clue how to train eat use drugs or have sex with females. He "brags" about himself because no one else gives him compliments ( here it comes he's now gonna tell us about the guys that give him compliments all the time). The guy is a poster child for being malnourished.  I really think he has full blown aids and in the last stages. He sure looks like it.  I know doctors will prescribe certain steroids to help keep aids patients alive so maybe that is why DJ keeps changing his gear so much? He is constantly going to doctors and they are monitoring him and making adjustments to his drugs etc.   Now that makes sense to me. He is dying with the aides and he has no friends and he posts on here because he is angry that because he sucks dick and has gay anal sex with unprotected fags he caught the aides.  Play with fire you get burned DJ. 100% true(well, he's doing some lat pull downs now, he says chin ups are "too hard" but also claims he's super tough).  He's been doing steroids for like 10 years now and max deadlifts 285.  He doesn't just look weak as piss he IS weak as piss in all ways.  Mentally, physically, emotionally.  dj is such a retard and pussy he makes all the guys who bashed hankins long for his return.
