Title: Bertil Fox should have joined the WBF in 1991 (The ‘83 Gut Punch)

His response to getting 5th place at 1983 Mr Olympia below is unsettling. It appears as though something in his mind became suddenly damaged.





The WBF was 8 years away. But it probably would’ve been a good fit for him.

Getting 5th place in the Olympia, or as it is commonly known amongst the thong-set, "The Mentzer Slot" got hold of Bertil and took him down hard.  He was never the same no more.

Erie. The remaining four competitors didn’t even react. Nobody offered to shake his hand. It looked like all of Bertil’s strength was stolen from him. Ben Weider could have pushed him to the ground with one hand.
