He tried to drive a cart through a crime scene which created an altercation with a golf official I think.

Cop was an idiot.
-
I had absolutely no idea who this guy was. Never heard of him before in my life.
I think the world breaks down into those who knew who Scotty Sheffler was before his arrest and those who didn't. Which split I think is mostly a proxy for Elites (or wanna be elites) v. non-elites, with the random joe sixpack duffer thrown in here and there.

A patron had earlier been killed in a vehicle accident, so everyone was already on edge.
-
He had a horrible round today because of it. Shot a +3, tied for 25th

Fatal accident and the cop is redirecting traffic because of a fatal accident. The site is a potential crime scene and has emergency services on foot all over the place with evidence on the roadway.
Everyone is complying with the cop directing traffic until this golf guy comes. The golf guy ignores the cop. The cop tries to arrest him getting dragged. So the golf guy claims he didn't see the cop in a vest with a flash light directing people away from the fatal accident? He didn't see the cop yelling at him by his vehicle and gunned the gas?
So everyone can now ignore a cop directing traffic? The cop is an idiot for trying to direct traffic away from a fatal investigation?

Well stated. Many here will have a hard time comprehending such a simple scenario.

Witnesses starting to come forward saying that Scotty pulled forward when he shouldn't have and the officer was running alongside the car and tripped and fell but was never dragged.
Officers were laughing with him and shaking his hand when he got back to the course.
...Arresting officer's chest camera was not on.

I thought I saw one video of a cop apologizing to him for arresting him as he was coming off the course

How did he do in the tournament?
The day after the whole event he had one bad day and that was enough to put him out of contention.
The day he got arrested he played well and he played the final day too.

I’ll take a dad bod and $90 mil over an Olympia physique. I’ll take his 8th place winnings over an olympia physique also. Watch Full Swing on Netflix and see what these getbiggers are making, it’s insane!

I believe I read where video cameras showed a different scenario than the one described by the law enforcement officer.
