a style or system i always found interesting was Ed Parkerīs Kempo system.
the roots of it are old school but also modern interpretations of the Hawiian & chinese
principles.
-
Until i really looked at it..it looked like just a flurry of arms.
a lot of Okinawan & Chinese in his system.

Good video but annoying music.
It would have been great to study with Wally Jay.

yes Ed Parker isnīt given enough credit. He was truly a man of inspiration in (his art) of Kenpo.
the Roots of his art.

When I was a kid I had all of Ed Parker and Bruce Tegners paperback books as well as a slew of Black Belt Magazines.
I`d carry a Parker or Tegner paperback in my back pocket in case I got into a fight.....if a guy threw a punch at me,I`d ask him to wait until I could turn to page 58 to look how to block the punch or counter attack. LOL ;D

No,actually in the late 60`s and very early 70`s a black hippie type guy in my neighborhood taught a few of us kids for free in his back yard.....I was off and on and never really stuck with it.
I remember a lot of stuff that he taught us though.

"To hear is to doubt, to see is to be deceived but to feel is to believe" EKP
Find or study any of Mr. Parker's 1st Generation BB's. They are becoming very scarce as the years go by. Then you will feel what EPAK is. I had the pleasure of knowing three in person and two by their videos.
Be safe and strong.
