If you live in California and vote for Progressives, you deserve what’s happening. The problem, of course, is the rest of the state does not deserve the madness you impose.
Going one step further, if you are also for slave reparations in a state that never had slaves, then you deserve to lose your house to someone clearly more deserving than you. At a cost of $569 billion, the only way to pay these reparations is for people to be taxed out of their homes.
What’s happening in California is also playing out in Illinois led by Progressive governor J. B. Pritzker.
At the city level look at policies by Chicago by mayor Brandon Johnson, New York City mayor Eric Adams, Boston mayor Michelle Wu, and San Francisco mayor London Breed.

I live in the greatest State in the nation, Florida, S. Florida, with the greatest Governor in the nation. I would not even travel to California. California is a shithole imo.

I once lived in California and enjoyed it, but then I was young, and my needs were different. I cannot say if California is a 'shithole' or not because I have not visited there since the early 80's. What I can say is the quality of life in California depends on where you live, what you do for a living and your net worth. For example, Santa Barbara, Carmel, Santa Rosa, Newport Beach, and other California cities are beautiful places to live. No doubt there are good locations and not so good ones to live in Florida. What is the quality of life like in Lake City or Belle Glade, FL? I read that The Tampa-St. Petersburg metropolitan area has the highest rate of homelessness in the nation. King Shizzo was homeless for a while. He lived in his car somewhere in or near Tampa.

”When you were young” that was decades ago and yes I also enjoyed California when I was a kid. All you have to do is watch the news to see what a shithole California has now become. I’ve always lived in S. Florida, so I can’t speak to other areas of Florida. I currently live in Palm Beach, one of the wealthiest zip codes in the Nation.

You know that I do not, but then I neither bash the state nor do I praise California, so where is the relevance to my asking deadz who has, to the best of my knowledge, never said where they lived until I asked. While on the other hand anyone following my posts knows that I lived in Southern California, LA county until I was 22 years old. I also have family and friends who currently live in California. Albeit Handcock Park, Los Feliz, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Encino, New Port, Granada Hills, Monterey, Palo Alto, and Santa Rosa are not necessarily representative of the average California lifestyle.

This depends on what you think makes a county a 'shithole.' Your perspective is understandably skewed against LA County. Orange County, CA is a safer place to live, with seven of the ten safest cities in California. However, LA county covers almost 5,000 sq. miles, is home to nearly ten million people, and has 88 cities within its borders, some of which have the highest standard of living in the country. In contrast Orange County covers just under 800 sq. miles, with a population of three million living in thirty-four cities. Interestingly, as you can see, Orange County has a higher population density than LA County. But then, the human population is sparse in Angeles National Forest or Castaic Lake State Recreational Area which combined cover a huge land area.
