Beware of hospitals! :o
Yeah it's really scary now. Avoid medical care as much as you possibly can.

Hospitals are like auto repair centers-the quality of the service depends on the mechanic you get.

The American health system is "allopathic". Heroic medicine.
https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/allopathic-medicine
It's excellent for emergency care like heart attacks, broken bones, physical injuries, etc.
It is not so good for preventive medicine.
If you go to an American doctor for a physical he will have bloodwork done, look at the results, and if your lipids are off, prescribe drugs.
Take the drugs. See you in a year or two or five for your next physical covered by your insurance.
He will often request more and more tests. You will be passed from one specialist to another up the chain.
You will be sucked into the medical system.
Rarely will the doctors address lifestyle practices as a solution.
The way western doctors practice is heavily influenced by insurance companies.

Most preventative care doesn't take a doctor or lots of money. It takes willpower. Americans are fat and lazy. They eat lots of sugars and don't exercise. You can throw money at the problem but you can't change the culture.

75% are obese now apparently :-X
Big pharma wants peeps sick or "treated" with Thier meds for a host of problems that could be properly treated with diet and exercise
Why? More $$$ for them they do not care about you
Evil shits that they are
And speaking of exercise bout 7% of Americans actually do that

I avoid doctors as much as I can.
Cardiologist once a year
Dermatologist twice a year
Dentist twice a year
GP never
I handle all my bloodwork

Are you just buying your panels online and going to Quest or Labcorb? If so, what panels do you buy? I was using discounted labs and then started using private md labs

I buy my labs work from Life Extension, www.lef.org. I have lab work performed 2-3x's a year. I always buy the CBC; Complete Blood Chemistry, Basic male panel; checks test, free test, estradiol, DHEA, PSA. I sometimes buy a Vitamin D test. Next time I also plan on buying a magnesium RBC test as well. Once I receive the requisition all tests are performed at a Labcorp facility and Life Extension will send you the results. At Life Extension they have Doctors there that can review the tests for you if you need that.

Yes. Youngsters have too fragile egos to endure here, and are affraid to offend others. What a sad way to live life.

That seems like a lot.
All specialists, have slightly more faith in them than a GP.

Two years ago I saw a cardiologist. She said your white blood cells are a little high but nothing to be concerned about. Year later I saw a GP saying the same thing. Then I saw another GP and mentioned how both docs said it's nothing to be worried about. He gave me the name of a blood oncologist. I saw him and he said it's probably nothing but he will order a 10K test where a pathologist doctor hand examines my blood. That doc sent a report to my blood oncologist that I had leukemia. A large percentage of my B cells were malignant cancer. Insurance by the way paid 8K for the test and they forgave the other 2K. If I never went to that blood oncologist I would be wondering why I couldn't fight infections because of my compromised immune system due to leukemia. Without that oncologist I bet I would have seen doctor after doctor with them all coming up with a different conclusion. Feeling well now. Last visit the oncologist said my numbers are stabilized and not rising. He said it could rapidly increase in short order or stay stable for years. He has seen it both ways.
Everything a doctor does is a pay day. See a gastro guy and he will order an upper and lower scope. Guess what, he owns the scope place. In the hospital they will tell all their friends in their different fields to check you out. If a doc introduces himself to you know he looked at you lab work and is charging you.

Truth.
My wife went through a similar rigamarole for a different ailment. Batteries of tests, specialists here, there. One guy wanted to start cutting things out.
In the end nothing done. All a waste of time and lots of insurance money in their pockets.
One hand doesn't know what the other is doing.
Glad you are doing good.
Every day is a blessing.

Why don't they just advertise to doctors who prescribe the pills? Advertising to the public seems like a waste of money.

I had Gall Bladder problems and they sent me to surgeon....I never had an operation in my life and it may sound faggy but I`m petrified to ever have one.
Anyway the surgeon says to me about my Gall Bladder....."It`s probably nothing, but I think we should remove it.
She said that in the same fucking breath....I promptly replied...."WELL..BYE" !!
I told my therapist about it and her exact workers were......."Tim,surgeons make a lot of money".....implying of course they make big bucks for surgeries that aren`t even necessary.

People complain that the docs want patients sick so they have a job, which is why they won't push lifestyle changes but push drugs instead.
I think they do push lifestyle changes, for example talk about sleep hygiene if someone can't sleep. But the thing is, people rarely change their lifestyles. People rarely change their diet to avoid illnesses long term. So what is a doc to do? Demand food discipline? It won't work! If a fatty comes in with elevated sugars what should the doc do, refuse to script metformin and demand lifestyle changes? Of course there's a lot of problems with healthcare but what are the alternatives that will work so much better? It's easy to complain and not offer solutions.
There's 2 things that will solve the obesity epidemic: famine/extreme food scarcity or effective appetite suppressing drugs. Demanding discipline with this amount of available food even if poor will simply never work. Convince me otherwise. What should the authorities do instead of what they do now? Maybe some really authoritarian system where a parent goes to jail if they give their kids sweets or lets them get overweight. Cameras in everyone's fridge.
I'm eating a Snickers right now... come and take it, pigs! From my dead cold hands...

Maybe ban this shit or at least ban certain incredients and simple carb/saturated fat ratios in these awful ultra-processed foods.
*Edit* on my way to get mars ice cream bar.

People have the right to eat garbage.
All you can do is make the info readily available and let them decide.

Just be sure you only eat half of it
Problem is most are such weak willed pussies that once they taste such high processed foods they can not control themselves and they gorge the flying fuck out of it
But you, well I'm pretty sure you're a tough minded sob😎

I agree. But I also get pissed off about having to pay for their healthcare. They gorge themselves into obesity and my tax dollars pays for their diabetes care, bariatric surgeries, etc. It isn't feasible but a fat tax is a pipedream that would at least alleviate that problem. If they can tax carbon they should tax fatties too.
-

They die sooner so they don't get Medicare or Social Security as long.

Correct-o-mundo
They will never have a fat tax coz that would offend them and hurt Thier little fweelings
Plus the shit is SA is pushing fat acceptance very hard now
Strange shit
Guess they either want them dead or they want to capitalize on them and sell them products they deem are right for them
Adverts just to only have attractive people with the idea that if you buy their good or service you will be attractive
Now they just realise that the vast majority of Americans are fat and ugly so this has now become the new attractive
Clown world

You'd need like a North Korean system to implement it. But imagine banning pizza or Italian pasta or fatty steaks lol, things with natural ingredients. You can eat most things, it's the volume that's the problem and how would you enforce a volume ban? Nah, I believe mostly in the drugs, the other options are unworkable. If these new injections aren't too bad over the long term side effects wise, that's a step in the right direction imo. We want our crap when we want it and want zero new laws controlling us, at least most do not. ;D
There was a leftist here in Sweden who demanded bans on ingredients because he couldn't control himself.

I don't take steroids and I never have. If you are being sarcastic saying non steroid users have health problems too it's a pretty weak attempt at being clever. So keep taking your drugs and using your simpleton rationalizations to justify it.

I also got the impression that you had dabbled decades ago since you knew how "strong" Anadrol was. But whatever.

There's.a famous study where they had 4 groups
1 group trained and took gear one trained and didn't take gear one took gear and didn't train and one didn't train and didn't take gear
Of course the ones who trained and took gear gained the most muscle and those who didn't train and didn't take gear gained no muscle
But... The ones who took gear and didn't train gained more muscle than the ones who trained and didn't take gear
I'd like to see photos of them because I bet they didn't look any more muscular than before just bigger with water gain that measured as muscle.since any weight gained gained without fat is considered muscle
So those that gained with gear and without training shit looked like shit I bet
