I think I may have started a thread about him in the past........guy was a fucking animalistic warrior.
I'm watching a Gatti marathon right now....he`s in a war with Angel Manfredi.
My favorite boxer of all time is Ray Leonard with Gatti a close second.....never in a dull fight......always a warrior, and comes back to win often when you think he`s finished.
Too bad he got cut so often, but he didn`t give a fuck.

I’ve got BHanks TKO3 Gatti

the blood and guts warrior, a lot of his fights were in atlantic city nj. He died under strange circumstances.
-
he got schooled by Mayweather but I would sooner watch Gatti fights any day of the week over Mayweather.
I cant imagine watching Mayweather re-runs, fucking boring
Mayweather was a safe fighter, Gatti was a warrior

He fought at 135. Power didn't carry up to 147 and his hands were jacked so he became money.
TBE before HW move

Pretty boy lost to Castillo, absolute robbery. Great defensive fighter but he's unbeaten more due to management and that decision than his skillset, Pacman in his prime beats him all day and Floyd dragged out that fight to avoid pacs prime just an opinion like assholes appreciate everyone has one.
Jones similar avoided a lot of guys when he was on top, but amazing skill set. Would have liked too see him fight calzaghie collins etc in his prime.

Mayweathers record is manufactured. he was a very good boxer, especially early in his career. He had some pop and good speed, reflexes as well as technique and fundamentals. I hate the guy with a passion but he was a very good boxer. He did not take many real risks in his later career. Always fighting guys too small or too old. He fought Canelo before Canelo was really experienced, he had a lot of fights but not many at the upper level. He beat the crap out of Diego Corrales but Corrales was fighting under a suspended prison sentence. His mind wasn't right, he was going to jail shortly after that fight IIRC.
Now RJJ was a physical marvel. Really otherworldly speed, reflexes and power. I am absolutely certain he was juiced to the gills early on in his career. At 154 & 160 his power paralyzed guys. His knock out of Art Serwano was scary. His speed allowed him to have fairly average boxing skills, he made cardinal mistakes all the time but was able to get away with it due to his speed and reflexes. But as he got older and he lost his speed and reflexes, he didn't have the fundamentals to beat even average boxers. And he pretty poor punch resistance. He was never hit really flush in the first 15 years of his career.

He was an exciting fighter. He married a whore pole dancer and when they went to her home country in South America they claimed he killed himself. Now she lives like a princess with his money. I don't buy it. He was murdered. No way in hell do I trust third world country law enforcement and their third world medical examiners.

I`d never go to one of those country's just for those reasons....fuck that shit.

Excellent analysis. Folks watched Ali hoping he would lose; that's why I watched Mayweather.
When RJJ missed with a right, he was often unbalanced, but amazing attributes served him well. I saw him at the Staples Center 28 July 2001 after a full three-lift meet. The drive home to OC was really tough.
He carried some boxers he could've KOed easily.

The only reason i ever purchased a Mayweather PPV was in hopes of his defeat.
And Gatti was murdered.
Gatti/Ward trilogy is one of my favorites of all time.

Arturo was everything that was right about boxing. The guy gave everything of himself in the ring. The early Gatti was actually a terrific fighter. At 130 he was the goods. Then the money, coke and girls came in and took a real toll on him. I remember the night Oscar gave him a savage beating. I, along with the reset of the boxing world thought that was his retirement fight. His reward fiscally for giving so many thrills and so much of himself. Enter James Buddy McGirt. That Arturo was able to resurrect his career and give us so many great memories after the Oscar fight is beyond remarkable. Kudos to Buddy and Arturo. They combined to give us boxing fans many more years of incredible fights and action fights at that. Truly a shame that Gatti is no longer with us. He would have been awesome calling fights or having a podcast. I'd imagine he'd have some insane stories to tell. RIP Champ.

Marrying a Latina whore can kill you in more ways than one.

He put his hands on a woman in Brazil with the men in her family on standby. They threw an MIT engineer out of a 6 story window for fighting a working girl and choked out a basketball player with his shoestrings on a woman.
