I think the most weird workout i´ve seen was a Guy on a field exercise doing Squats with two 155mm HE rounds on his shoulders.

The current U.S. military test involves lifting ammo tins.

We did that in 1985, log runs, weighted stretchers ...etc.
Did you, yourself ever do any military training?
