Wing Tsun form
Good stuff.
I thing a horizontal palm position with spread fingers would be better for an eye strike.
Your opinion?
I practice on a small hanging sandbag.

The critics will say this is ineffective for self-defense but it is not meant for use in a sport fight.
As you know, Wing Tsun is designed to strike vital targets like eyes, throat, etc.
Again there is a difference between sport fighting (bjj for example) and self-defense.

Yes i agree but as i wrote before even one finger can cause a serious problem for someone in the lower throat just above the collar bone.
nothing is carved in stone, the body has many weak points.
People even bite when fighting like a Baboon

Yes, the vertical position is ideal for striking the throat.
A good way to practice it would be while carrying a small fridge.
