Title: Greed, Gluttony and the Crackup of Red Lobster
Post by: Dos Equis on September 10, 2024, 02:19:08 PM
Really long read, but great story on how not to run a business.  I'm not convinced they will survive even after coming out of bankruptcy.

Greed, Gluttony and the Crackup of Red Lobster
How missed opportunities, a $1.5 billion real estate deal, all-you-can-eat shrimp and the global pandemic sank the country’s largest seafood chain.

I did eat at Red Lobster a couple of times many years ago. The food was unremarkable. The place to go for fish in Portland, OR is Jakes. https://www.jakesfamous.com (https://www.jakesfamous.com) This restaurant has been in Portland for more than a century. Making it almost as old as I am... LOL! The place is always packed. Best to make reservations well in advance.
