No bodybuilder since arnold has been able to string a few sentences together. Dorian is better now after retirement, but Ronnie's charisma revolves around his catchphrases 'lightweight baby.' Brandon curry, Big ramy and minister lungfurd have less personality than a wet paper towel. They're impressive slabs of muscle, but when it comes to stringing words together, you'd have more luck getting a conversation out of a protein shaker.
Jay Cutler is alright now, but watching him back then was like watching paint dry in slow motion—except the paint had more personality.

100%... imo haney was the best representative.. he was a bodybuilder, thats what he did.. wasnt trying to become an actor or anything else.. always liked his training vids.. shit looked like he was having a good time too!

Not many Pro-bodybuilders can be Actors and then Actionstars at that, and then move on to becoming Governor.
Only one close would be Jesse "The Body" Ventura who went from bodybuilding to Wrestling to movies (Running Man, Predator etc) and then Governor.

There has been some. However, it always seems to be the non gym activities and partying that kept them from becoming elite. Dearth (sp? The Wild Child), Mike Quinn, Mike Christian, Melvin Anthony, Will Harris, etc.. Chris Comier is the only one that I can think of that was overly social and still achieved a decent amount of success.

Haney was great.
Jay and Ronnie were decent in their own ways.
Phil was a bit annoying but he knew how to talk to the media.
Dorian ended up being very well spoken after his career.

Arnold set the bar. Number one movie star for a long time. Two time California governor. Married American royalty. Had a cool way of saying Chopper. What do we have now? They win then disappear from view for the year. Maybe a couple of youtubes that no one watches.

He did not have the support of Weider as Arnold did .
but the guy had his own tv show and always presented himself neat, approachable, mature ,humble and always with a smile.
