Dumbbells are all you can have and you can only have 5 pairs, what weights you gonna have in your gym?
I would have 25s,35s,55s,70s and 100s.
-
How about one adjustable pair Big Guy ?
Would I be automatically disqualified?

Yes you would haha. Has to be 5 pairs only. I’m bored as fuck.
-
25,40,55,70,85
-
20, 25, 30, 35, 40,
Beyond that, I would switch to barbells
-
20/30/60/70/85
100s would get pretty dusty in my Centrum silver years

I would not have much use for the 100s just for a few reps but I would choose them if nothing else but for motivation.I would go 20s 40s 60sand 80 to go with them.

20, 30, 40, 50, 60. After crossing 50 years old, i don't go under 20-25 reps these days. No use for heavy weights.

100, 75, 50, 40, 30

I agree, with 1 exception: barbell jump squats with 225LB.

After crossing 50, I routinely do doubles, triples, and sets of 5.
But to each his own.
No right or wrong.
But I am more curious about the context of what is going on in the world where we are limited to 5 sets.
It would be difficult to enforce. The logistics and tracking would be a nightmare.

I’m a fair bit junior to you, but I notice that higher reps with moderate weights tend to make me feel tendon pain more frequently than lower reps with more weight.
Two wheels for sets of 10-12 hurts way more than a 5x5 with 3 wheels.
Caveat to that for me is shoulder presses.
I would keep with the 25’s , 45’s, 60’s, 80’s and 100’s.

I can relate and agree.
And agree on the shoulder presses too.
Mind you, have to be loose by the time you get to the doubles and triples. I generally do 5 min on the airdyne, bodyweight squats on a slant board, bands, plyo etc all before warmup sets.

The software will only let me post 4...

11 to 44 lbs set, you don't need more to build all muscles you want.

I would get either Ironmaster, Trulap, Power blocks, Nuobell, Snode or one of the other adjustable options. I just found out a competitor copied Ironmaster at a fraction of the price. The name escapes me but it would worth a look.
Having said that if you have a waist high strong table you could fill it with plates and two spin lock dumbbell bars. I can make two one hundred pound dumbbells quick. The part sticking out isn't a problem. For stuff like incline dumbbell presses you can angle them easily on your thighs to kick them up.

Oldtimer, you can’t do that. It’s 5 pairs.but yeah ironmaster dbs are pretty cool.
-
35, 45, 65, 85, 105.
That was how I left a bunch of spin locks set up years ago. I think I could go back to those numbers and be perfectly content again.

They are awesome.
I have a set of those that go to 120, and another that goes to 75 that I'm going to sell.

I feel like these adjustable dumbbells are unstable and if you drop them, some components are bound to come loose.

If you have to drop then they are too heavy for you

Bowfex, powerblock ones sure, but Ironmasters are all metal.
One of the newer ones (noubell?) or something can actually be thrown and bounce with no issue.
But I still never drop the ironmasters, and would use crash pads if I did.
