At the Olympia anyway ;D
So, after 15th everyone places 16 automatically ...
Does this even make sense, is it fair for the "athletes"? can't they just have a different judging panel to organize these group in real numerical order?
I'm asking because I have been following the journey of a particular mens physique dude from Europe ended up in 16th ...
Just to find out there's 40 competitors awarded 16th!
WooooSHHHHHHHHHHHHH Super bowl of Bodybuilding backpack and hoodie

Bhahahahaha!

It actually matters to the athlete, whether they were judged better than another or beat anyone at all. They cut a lot of guys quickly too and like joswift says it often makes little sense, the placings.
-
after the top ten all the rest are really interchangeable, there isnt much between them
Bumstead won the O one year and the 15th placed guy looked almost identical to him, even facially.
Most pro shows are judged on publicity leading up to the show
In 92 Ronnie placed 17th, in 97 he placed 9th in 98 he won it, he didnt get that much better he just got more publicity

Maybe Milos is right, everyone is beatable and anyone can win and many abstract factors come into play. He's always promising the world to everyone and has been talking for the longest time about how Samson can win the O on any given day. I didn't see it with this guy but Milos was proven right. Milos is always also saying the guys deserve to be compared way more but it just isn't feasible in this format.

Ronnie improved DRAMATICALLY between 1992 and 1998.

Yes but between 97 and 98 there wasn't *that* big a difference. I think the biggest difference was that he was really sucked dry with that skeleton face, he was "on." This is just going by memory of my impressions then.

There shouldn't be more than a dozen competitors at the Olympia.

LMAO ....
I know, no way to sound straight if you read my post outload ;D
But give me a break, English is still my second language, I meant to say I was following the worldwide journey on YouTube of this hot guy trying to qualify for the Olympia.... (no homo) ....better? ;D
But seriously the IFBB pro champ traveled the world competed in several countries winning and qualifying for the Olympia weekend ..
On his way back to his hometown he didn't even mention how good or bad he did at the Superbowl of bodybuilding ..... he is 16th in the world...
So were 40 other contestants.
What would you do ?
comeback next year hoping to be the next Ronnie Coleman and move from 15 to eventually multiple wins ?
Or should every contestant be placed in numerical order ...like they do in serious competitions
Woooossshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhh Thanks

All true… it’s a nice way of saying you don’t matter. Try again next year. :-\

thing is in big line ups you can get overlooked
When the competitors come out initially for the 1/4 turns the judges typically pick the top 6, if you dont get in that list then you are basically fucked, even if you look better in the compulsories judges tend not to change their mind and start crossing people out
Happened to me in 2018 Britain, I placed 8th, heres me with the top 3, I only got two call outs right at the end

In 1992 Ronnie was placed 15th alongside 4 or 5 guys maybe ?
Not exactly the same as placing 16th (tied) with 40 more competitors.
