Most bodybuilders seem deranged but so are normal people just in different, less obvious, ways... either way bad genes, upbringing(and of course "modern" living).
Jay's problem was most likely being bullied by his older siblings Ray and Gay which traumatized him quite "deeply". Kerry even wrote in her memoires that Jay was often sweating bullets during family meetings especially when Ray was openly hitting on her.
Jay also had to scissor his beef before cooking to be able to mentally "digest" a fraudulent circumcision... :(

Who is normal these days? WHat is normal these days?
Blokes that seemed fairly normal back in the 80s would probably have been given a diagnosis today.
Apparently today, people can have different degrees of ADHD, ADD; Autism, Aspergers, Bipolar and whatnot.
Some overly enthusiastic dudes back in the day would prolly be diagnosed with Fully Functional ADHD or similar today.
