Title: Gladiator II
Post by: IroNat on December 18, 2024, 07:19:02 AM
It sucks.  Don't waste your time.

Watched a half-hour of it.  Life is too short to watch crappy 2+ hour movies.

Re-watch the first one with Russell Crowe which is awesome.

Hail Maximus!!!

They are even making a prequel to f*cking 1994 Lion King these days, are they kidding? Hollywood writers should be ashamed of themselves and not be paid a dime.

Is this seriously from the movie? Has this been altered or is this what it looks like in the movie?

Ridley Scott made a film a few years back, like 2 or 3 years ago. It was supposedly pretty good but did poorly at the box office. He went on a rant about how cinema is dead, marvel movies suck, everything is dumbed down for the masses etc etc...

I wonder if this is his F.U. to hollywood/to film goers? I mean black cesar? Really. Those monkeys look like something from The Clash of the Titans. LOL.

Thank you!  Ridley Scott is my favorite living director.  This error in his judgment will likely cause his removal and I will not be replacing him with anyone as Hollyweird sickens me.

Hollyweird has long been out of ideas, talent and morals to name but three creative essentials.  I pray for the revealing of the "List of Diddypoo" as well as that of that darling of the dildo set, Epstein.    D.C. and Hollyweird  have surely become the present day version of the Augean Stables and it's time for Trump & Co. to divert the Potomac River  like Hercules did  with the River Alpheus in days of old and clean it out.

Immorality makes for really strange bedfellows and that is nowhere truer than in Hollyweird and D.C.

So when I conducted my post, I had to decide to ask whether you walked out of a theater, or just turned it off.

I assumed the latter, my apologies.

Truth!

On my plane ride over and back I watched some shitty movies.

Deadpool and Wolverine.  Please stop.  The Deadpool 4th wall has been done to death.  He isn’t funny anymore.  And it was just cringe from beginning to end.

Kill.   I have never seen a protagonist suffer more abuse, wounds, beatings, nonstop ass kickery receiving with the except of Jesus in The Passion Of The Christ.

The Beast Within.  I gave up.

Borderlands.  Horrible representation of a great game series.

Alien Covenant.  Better than Romulus the newest film in the series but still slow and wasted what original potential it had.

Many of the gladiators were enslaved Israelites after the fall of Israel via Rome.  Today, America which is a mixture of Rome and Egypt, use boxing,  MMA, NFL, NBA as their new "gladiators."  Hell, I'll even throw in IFBB in a twisted but true way.

I like Denzel but can't buy him as a Roman Emperor or whatever he's supposed to be here.  It's like if they had the Gladiator played by a broad.

Maybe Wiggs can "weigh in" on the matter.

Prometheus was almost ok.  His career as a director seems to have peaked.  Maybe he should pull a George Lucas a write scripts/executive produce and leave the directing to others.  I used to look forward to. R. Scott film…. It was an automatic yes.  Now… I automatically say no.  M. Night Shamalan same thing.

They did a mock naval battle in the coleseum.    That part is true !  The Roman’s did that.   But they added sharks in there and it made the scene ridiculous.

Adding the sharks made it VERY silly.

I also know they did try to re-enact famous naval battles in the colosseum, but imagine the logistics with the sharks lol
