David Lynch creator of Twin Peaks and director of Mulholand Drive has died at the age of 78. The cause of death is not listed but he was a long-time smoker who had emphysema.

RIP.
The emphysema was very bad for him the last few years, and the wildfires and the stress from them made it worse apparently. I can't say I appreciated all his work, but on the balances, he has more hits than misses with me. I was just thinking about him because of the song posted above, and the murder mystery that goes along with its composer.

I loved his offbeat flicks.
RIP :(

I didn't know what the hell his movies were about but I still enjoyed them

They were shot really well and he was always able tp build tension and a strange atmosphere to his movies.
I watched Mulholland Dr at least a half a dozen times. Every time I had a different interpretation of it. But beautifully filmed and mysterious even if nonsensical.

Great movie, as well as Blue Velvet and Lost Highway.
All a bit weird but very entertaining......the weirdest IMO was "Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me". WTF ???

His daughter also did great movies like "Boxing Helena".
