NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police are actively investigating a shooting at Antioch High School on Wednesday.
According to police, two students were shot by someone in the cafeteria. The shooter then turned the gun on himself.
Metro Nashville Police Department authorities said the students were all wounded. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is now on the scene to assist with MNPD. Around 2,000 students attend Antioch High School.
MNPD said a reunification site for parents is 3754 Murfreesboro Pike. MNPS asks that parents do not come to Antioch High School. Murfreesboro Pike northbound is closed.
Tiffany Brooks — a grandparent of a student at AHS — said she lived near the school.

It's beyond fucked up. My daughter graduated high school last year. What a fucking relief that was. Not that it can't happen on a college campus but at least she still lives at home and commutes to her classes.

We had fire, earthquake and air raid drills. Active shooter drills were implemented after Columbine in 99'. We pretty much know why there has been an increase in school shootings....and isn't because of the gun.

I had a principal in elementary school in the 70’s that smoked a cigar in his office. He would paddle the shit out of when we got out of line too. I got in a fight and me and the other kid had to stand in the hall facing the wall and he gave us what we call a “whoopin” down south. Then the prick would call our moms who would call dad and I’d catch another beating after he got home from work.

Can’t remember if we did this in high school in the 80’s but in the 70’s we would do this dumbass drill where we all turned away from the window and got under our desks. So we would be ready for a nuke. I remember even as a kid thinking how stupid it was. I figured if I was gonna turn to dust I wanted to at least look out the window to see the mushroom cloud!!
