The email sent to millions of employees said those who leave their posts voluntarily will receive about eight months of salary, but they have to choose to do so by Feb. 6.
This letter is similar to the letter Twitter employees got.
Is this a positive move?

I don’t think it’s a good thing for 2 million Americans to be at risk of losing their jobs, no. In fact, I would say it is a very bad thing.

What at risk? It’s voluntary.

They were fake jobs...govt welfare. Most have liberal arts skillsets heading them for welfare again.

The construction industry is starved for skilled and unskilled labor. Perhaps it’s time they learn a trade.
-
Gov't employees, who during Covid, thought work-from-home would last forever and moved many hours and sometimes many states away are getting a big surprise.
I thought such moves were foolish at the time. Covid would not last forever.
-
Not a buyout, it's a deferred resignation. Take the offer now and sit at home on administrative leave drawing full pay and benefits until September 30th.

Stay working and thus voluntarily work for Trump Hitler or take a massively generous unbargained for severance, lose your victim status and find another job if you actually have any skills. We’ll see how many are Cleggs and how many are Hankins.

Lakisha with 6” finger nails and 3’ long braids coming from nice air-conditioned office with fresh coffee and snacks in the kitchen to do siding and roofing in the 90’s deg. heat.

Who is to say they don’t produce anything of value? Personally I think it’s a bad thing when a fellow citizen loses their job. I like to see people in my community doing well. If they lose their job, it will make their lives—and the lives of those who depend on them—very difficult. That’s why I think it’s a bad thing.
Why are you so keen on seeing American citizens lose their jobs?
-
It’s a positive move.
You all want income tax cuts, this goes towards how they pay for it.
With the upcoming Boom, many people will need to re-skill anyway.
We have birth rates in the dirt so we raise immigration and people chuck a shit. We have labour shortages so they cut govt jobs to free up labour because people had a shit about immigration and are now having a shit about cutting govt jobs…….
Job cuts and tariffs are the trigger to release the new investment of restructuring.
-
Trump is fixing America, literally resuscitating America, I just hope it's not too late. PS conservative blacks may end up being our savior.

When you have the majority absolutely gagging for a 25% tariff…. But cutting inefficient govt jobs is crossing the line….. 👀
I know a sizeable group who recently got made redundant and they got 2 weeks pay….. US govt offering 8mths and the bleeding hearts suddenly appear…..

Just a reminder that Bill Clinton did the same thing. He purged almost 400k federal employees

These cuts are eliminating dead weight. Some of these people are collecting checks while working 2nd jobs.
-
Would assume most have useless jobs revolving around equity and diversity, to employ all those pointless "degrees".

I know 2 council workers who do driveways for cash and leveraged a council contract to get concrete at govt prices. They d9 awesome work, dryer did mine lol.
I know 1 on a 75% pension due to stress who immediately went out and worked for cash, paid no tax. I know 2 military people aged 40 trying to get a life pension for stress. Their plan is to the. work for cash and pay no tax.
I know from work colleagues in France, a govt job is seen as a job for life. Many aim to get a govt job and then work for cash, pay no tax as govt doesn’t fire workers.
How many times do we hear of govt funds going missing yet nobody is ever caught? The corruption in govt is rife.
Just like how American love tariffs now, they will love CBDCs and digital identity because taxpayers will trade privacy for closing the loopholes for govt and welfare corruption.

They don't want to learn. That's why they majored in gender studies and underwater basketweaving.

Trump said it during his Inauguration night signing executive orders. ;D We can laugh about that but everything Trump has been saying as been proven correct. He knows he will be challenged on everything so if he said it he has information that will come out soon.

The whole USAID agency is just counterproductive and a complete waste of taxpayers money. Not only the hired personel cost is a waste but also what they spend money on.
Why the hell would taxpayers want to spend money on that Bullshit. Few examples stated here from 6:00
-

I’d like to see a source too. Not because I doubt it, I know it happens and have seen it with my eyes, just wondering how rampant it is.

what is wrong with having a 2nd Job?
would you hire someone being distracted by another job at the time/hours you hired him for.
regardless these people do nothing
-
what is wrong with having a 2nd Job?
Nothing as long as you are working the 1st job.

Any getbiggers take the offer yet?

How tf do you even have time to work a second job.? I assume the 2nd is some part time gig. There is value in being hard working for sure but these Asian countrie's work ethic is really sickening. Like working constant overtine in Japan or Korea and then having to go to dinner and drinks with the boss, a vacation may consist of one week of sitting by a totally crammed pool. Spiritual and physical death by overwork. And recently I've seen some billionaires in China or India crying because they aren't allowed to make their workers work 7 days a week, "I work 7 days a week, what are you going to do at home, look at your wife, how long can you stand it?" some industrialist opined recently. I come from Finnish stock who have always had a reputation of being very hard workers (not me but in general) but there are limits.
Some say, looking at a future where there's simply no work for most due to technology, that work is absolutelly essential for man, he gets spiritually sick if he doesn't work. Of course these musings aren't rare, everyone is thinking how to best occupy people in the future so they feel they have meaning.

I knew a guy who had two jobs, one as a sales manager and one as an outside sales/BD guy. He said fuck it I’ll work them both until the other finds out. This lasted almost a year before one of the. Did. Jobs like that can easily be done since there is little oversight if you’re good at your job. He was.

Its not work ethic. Its called getting fired if you don't come in. I have spent a considerable amount of time in Korea/Taiwan/China and SE Asia. In Korea it is a mandatory 6 day work week- 10+ hours a day. The workers don't like it- and the new generations refuse to do it.
In China the base pay is so low people work 6-7 days a week just to live the good life. The prior generation starved so they all act like it could happen again.
I completely agree with you that people need to work to have meaning in life. It is just that some businesses abuse that desire.

I'm taking my CIA severance package tomorrow.

Overtime doesn’t mean they are actually doing anything productive.
A big amount of overtime work is to justify their job.
A company I went to our regional team was doing countless reports and meetings. They were all stressed and saying they were overworked. The new MD and I canned all reports and meetings, cut out probably 15hrs/wk for them. Guess what happened? They still didn’t do the shit they were supposed to do and complained about being overworked….. 😂

Deep corruption within this agency exposed.
George Soros was even funded by the goverment and tax payers.

it’s not the government’s place to create a bunch of bullshit jobs using taxpayer dollars to fund things that no taxpayer needs.

I think the idea with USAID and similar is that it's a big source of soft power, the US being able to influence the culture all over the world. Some say the US may not even be strongest in the world militarily anymore but it dominates culture through media etc. For sure all the cultural shifts in the US come to my country soon after.
-
USAID is a regime change organization.
It's run by the CIA and has no government oversight.

That's actually exactly what it is alot about. Which Elon Musk is going to prove.
He talks about exactly such cases at the 30:00 mark here
