I read on BBC about the post on their state twitter page that says they’re ready for a tariff war, trade war or any war in general and are upping their defense spending 7.2%. Does anybody else find this rhetoric a bit alarming?

Yes, especially since we have family on Guam and they would more than likely be the first to be attacked on US soil

No. Maybe if I lived in Taiwan I'd care.
I think the natural counter to China is some sort of alliance amongst Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, India et al. We don't need to get tangled up in a military engagement with them. We should put more money into protecting our intellectual properties, technological advantages, etc. Let the other Asian countries take care of China through a group effort. I look at China the same way as I look at Russia, it is other people's problem way more than it is a US problem.

This planet is just too small for us now, with all of our capabilities logistics wise.

Fauci tried to thin the herd but it spread too fast.

China can't afford a war on the US. Their economy would collapse. And their military would fare no better than Russia would.

Hahahaha. Fuck no.
China won't be doing shit to the US in any form. Whether it be physical, financial, economically, or any other way. You think India or Mexico are going to be buy their crappy products? Selling their knock off designer fashions on the Paris run way? Ever seen their cars? GTFO.
