Title: Is Minister Lumpsford back on top a good thing for the sport/industry?
Post by: The_One77 on March 11, 2025, 08:31:41 AM
Like I thought this meatball sucked for the sport cuz he looks like a fat guy and was a jesus freak. But to be honest, Samson dauda is not much better. Cant understand a word he says and just mumbles about nonsense all the time. Like what happened to the personalities? The shawn rays, ronnie's and levrones werent exactly lighting up late-night talk shows, but at least they had some charisma. Even Phil heath had personality.

Andrew Jacked is boring, Choopan is pretty intelligent but cant hear anything, Hunter is just kinda there slurring his words, and Nick Walker looks like a fridge. End rant.

From today’s crop  closest thing to ideal BB to me would be Brandao.Has that Strydom,Demay ,Benfatto etc look.
Bob Chick discussed with Dennis Janes and Shawn Ray winner of 212 Keone Pearson  .They all agreed if he ever outgrows 212 he will collect few Sandows.

Keone will never win a Sandow, not unless he lets his gut blow out and puts another 30lb of water weight on

Everybody sucks

This, but it mostly been that way with all the top guys

Curry was boring as Mr O
Ramy retarded
Rhoden did nothing
Phil was a man child
Kai talked nonsense
Dexter did nothing
Jay was boring
Ronnie was retarded
Dorian did nothing

Former 212 guys Lunsford and Hadi made it on the top and Bonac placed close 2nd in 2019.
It is the weakest era of BB we've seen so Keone winning is not farfetched. But I do agree he won’t be nowhere near most conditioned guy to win ,but his proportions will carry him there.Just like when he beat first time Clarida.Clarida was peeled ,but Keone had structure to win.
Reminds me Wheeler ,not the most peeled guy but his proportions placed him high.

Dorian was pre social media era and that is why  we have not heard much about him.And I’m actually huge fan of him and fact he was  hiding in the Birmingham basement and not showing off luxury lifestyle in sunny CA .If social media came way earlier Ray,Cormier,Wheeler etc would be kings of insta and tiktok.

Ray for sure and probably Nasser if he was smart enough to turn on a phone or PC.

Benfatto was a dwarf with a huge head

Don't mention such an anomaly in the same sentence as greats like De Mey and Strydom

True - he had a great physique - Only his head was disproportionately large
& hurt his overall look.

Strydom's back was so weak it's hard to place him on any greats list imo. How do you judge when a third of your body is almost completely missing (same with Dillet). Much worse than a huge head, a head is not [supposed] to be judged. Somewhat subjective but Benfatto is definitely among the most aesthetic of all time imo; I like the fact that though short his legs were long. I've always harped on how unaesthetic short legs are but that's just like my opinion, man. Many of the greats had the longer leg thing going on, e.g. Dorian who I consider having an almost perfect skeleton, compare to someone like Nasser who had shorter legs and lacked the aesthetics of Dorian due to it. The pic of Benfatto in another thread in a leotard, his arms were insane, especially relative size to the rest, among the best I've seen. He had that unfortunate pec tear later on.

Edit, added. Man, sooo aesthetic, that shot is hard to improve on. Maybe the legs are a touch too small. Maybe :D

Now seriously. Benfatto had the body every man would like to have, bodybuilder or not. It was flawless. Not to adress the posing skills, amazing also.

What kind of half empty cup gimmick dares to criticize this kind of excellency? Maybe he went to affeman university, where they learn that Lee Haney had a swimmer body...

I remember when Benfatto got busted at Australian customs in 2006 with 926 diazepam tablets and 29 Ritalin pills.

You just know he is very eccentric (to use a positive word for bat shit crazy) :D

Fans and observers complain of today's bodybuilders, they are ugly and they are so drug laden it's disgusting. Many of the old timers were no better, bodybuilding drugs but rec drugs too. Benfatto doing drugs and smuggling Valium to probably pay for his plane ticket too, what other reason to bring so many Valiums. Tony-something, the Aus promoter, said Benfatto was running around the venue in his posing trunks acting strange, Tony was pissed it seemed. Before Serge Numbret died promoters complained about him demanding lots of bb drugs whereever he went on seminars in Europe, the promoter was to arrange it. I saw some on forums who supposedly knew of the circumstances surrounding his death intimate he died of insulin overdose. A old golden age man using insulin for bodybuilding. I don't have a problem with it per se, just saying.

Among other languages, I speak French fluently (gay, I know.) You should have read the pseudo-deep spiritual -- and aneurysm inducing --  crap he used to write on French bb forums circa 2005.

Endless verborrhea-ridden posts about cosmic/galactic enlightenment through infinite space and time (or some shit.)

IIRC Benfatto was even worse. Think of Kai Greene with a touch of 'tism.

for sure.

benfatto had a unique, exaggerated aesthetic - one of a kind.

big hair, tho.. made him look like a bobble head onstage at times

Yes in the UK or Portugal, but may be different in Australia? Incidentally I would desperately have needed some Valiums a while back, long story. There are basically no Valiums to be had easily here, almost none on the black market, what there is is Xalol, which is Serbian Xanax made by ICN Galenika, the ones who make those testosterones. But junkies claim they have tested positive for fentanyl after taking those, saying there are a lot of fakes around, and despite them being plentiful I have no connects now. I'm not so sure about that story but that's what they say. Seriously, a couple of months back I would have paid 10 British pounds for one of those. Even now, not because I want to get high but there was an acute "situation" :'(
Lots of people here would prefer Valium specifically but they only have access to the Xanax or they use these dangerous research chemical designer benzos out of China. This class of drugs is really shitty and using these daily for fun will fuck up your life, and there isn't really a fun "high" either, more like a "low." But in certain situations they are a gift from god.

Do they check every letter ?

No they don't but I've had a bunch of packages from the UK opened, all legal, and then sometimes they have stolen part of the contents. No letter, no explanation, nothing, sometimes they don't even bother taping the package shut, they apparently aren't accountable to no one. I read the police here have new domestic regulations where they are allowed to check more mail for drugs. Supposedly they even often open regular looking thin envelopes now, like a simple letter, so now drug dealers somehow hide drugs in open magazines or whatever with a stamp on, I don't know exactly, but read something like that lol. I don't buy illegal contraband on the net so it doesn't affect me, however from what I've seen UK seems like a dope and steroid and PED heaven for those so inclined. I know a couple of dealers and users who get their roids from there, it's all apparently pretty open, one guy said he tried to order but you had to show you were a "serious lifter or competitor" and make a profile with pics to be allowed to order :D

Yeah it's fairly lax over here, thankfully.
