Respect to the guy but I think there's a time when competing is over..having said that he looks better than some older guys I've seen.
I guess he just enjoys the posing in a thong ;D
-
He is really ripped.
I question whether it is wise to reduce your bodyweight by cutting at this age because you lose not only fat but muscle.
You need all the muscle you can get at that age.
-
Being "ripped" doesn't necessarily mean that you look good. This dude is (still) livin' proof :-\

He's no Dallas Cove.

Yes I was a spectator at that show and three or four of them looked good for Over 70: Stanley Bishop, John Hinken:

serious runners are the worst as they age. Look like skeletons when they should be eating better & pumping iron
a friend of mine is like that & his lower back is damaged from years of running.
He has no Glutes at all and the jogging pants hang off his boney ass due to severe loss of muscle..
he of course thinks weight training is only for muscleheads & Druggies

massive 8 inch arm right there. He's got a ways to go before he joins the 15 inch arm club.

I wonder if that's the same Eric Peterson (Pederson) who became the famous bodybuilder?

A friend of mine had to get a hip replacement at 45- and he was a very competitive runner. We weren't built to run on pavement.

It's hard to say, There is some similarity, but couldn't say for sure.

Bad hips seem to sometimes occur for no reason.
I agree running on pavement/hard surfaces is asking for trouble.
