Nope.

Then the marketing folks can't try to get their hooks in.

Annoying AF.You walk into the shoe or clothing or any other store and F ..g vultures are  all over me like dead rabbit asking if I need anything million times.
I’ll go to Home Depot and know exactly what do I need and someone who wants to help me doesn’t even know what that is because he  had dropped  McD job last week. Getting in and out is a war .Few times you have older guys who been working certain  trades and know exactly  what I’m looking for .Those guys are rare and usually very knowledgeable.

Same with any website or software these days asking you to "create an account" for everything.

QUESION: Want to round it off to $10.00 today for children with illiteracy sir ?

ANSWER: Read my facial expression.

I do give some money at times, but if I gave to everyone that asked me to,I`d be flat broke in a month........it`s just getting stupid.

I never give to organised charities , they are for profit businesses

I give money to homeless people or buy them food

I went in Argos (catalogue shop) last wek to buy a watch for diving, I fucked about on the automated checkout machine and it said "pay now pick up Tuesday" (3 days later), I reluctantly pressed the pay button and a drop down list wanting all of all my personal details appeared.
I just shouted "fuck off" at the machine and walked out getting some strange looks from other customers

I give to Chive charities, and have for years.

They are a website that made their money posting pics of hot women, but they take the $ and give them directly to kids who need it, and post their stories.

Win - win.

It is ridiculous. I always say I’m not giving any info or answering any questions for this purchase if that doesn’t work I will not buy it.

I've never seen this anywhere in Michigan.

I've seen it in Texas and New Mexico.

I went to the mall because it has a decent place that repairs jewelry.

These two guys were literally following people for 100 feet down the corridor trying to convince them to clean their shoes. Even after a hard "no thanks" they harass you. I think we should be able to throat punch people like this.

I think they are selling shoe cleaning kits or something.

100%, only a fraction of the money donated goes to people in need . The rest is for actual for salaries and administrative cost. It’s a joke.

Some of the CEOs at these charities are the wealthiest

people should start cleaning their shoes with the seat of their trousers by inserting their foot at high speed and taking it off again.

Might come off as a dick. Yet I just don't respond to the question if verbally asked I just slid my card and move on. I never explain myself or give them anything but payment

I worked at the mall 21-29 as a SM at the closer to the end. It was definitely fun at times, but also just like an office job with the normal corporate tensions.

They don’t always have tons of metrics to measure behavior so the more credit card sign ups or large sales or whatever the metric you have to ask a lot of people to buy things as your job.

I personally respect that people are just doing their job. It doesn’t mean I enjoy the experience, but I wouldn’t be at thar store unless I wanted to be there and that person is only doing what the store is making them do.

I hate the “it’s just going to ask you a few questions” as they turn the iPad around and it asks about tip and if you want a receipt. I know there’s jokes about this, but I really get irritated by it. The expectation on tipping now in America since Covid blows my mind. “We’re all in this together, take care of your servers and service people because they’re the most affected”. No fuck you cu nt, me and my fucking $100k a month in debt service and we ain’t working is more affected.

Home depot should can all their retail staff and make the place self service. Attempting to find help, for anything, leads to suffering. A few months ago I was repairing some rotten t1-11 and needed a couple pieces so I go to home depot and after spending 30 minutes on a journey around the store and into the back parking lot i finally found the only employee who worked in lumber. We get to where the t1-11 is stacked and I notice that the pieces are like 8 feet long and I need 9. So I ask the guy could they order the 9 footers for me he goes "9 foot? Of what?" I go t1-11, he says "uh, i can take your number and tomorrow my manager will call cuz I don't we I don't know if we even carry that." I say you don't carry t1-11?? He shakes his head no, and starts staring at his phone. He was literally leaning on a stack of t1-11 as he says all this. They're only lumber guy in the whole store. Scary.

The employee probably appreciates you. They hate being forced to do that shit.
