Not to diminish what Ovi has accomplished as it's an amazing feat, however, the game was much tougher In Wayne's day, the evolution in sticks alone, not to mention how the rules have changed to enhance scoring..eliminating the two line pass for, smaller goalie pads, etc

Same goes for every sport .Rules have changed and things have softened .Competition has weakened .Still impressive record These  Eastern Europeans are built differently .Jaromir Jagr still plays hockey in Czech league and he is 54.
