As they (whoever they are) might be 20 million years ahead of us, you are right to assume they can remain undetected if they wanted to.
But we don't know if there is one non human civilization here with us on "our" planet. Or multiple.
As YouTube / Reddit / X are full of photos and videos on non human craft, they do not seem to have a Prime Directive.
Suppose we find a tribe somewhere in the Amazon that has not yet come into contact with modern humans. What is the point of displaying all our tech and capabilities to them? They would be intimidated and perhaps flee. There is nothing in it for us.
(NHI apparently is very interested in us and our planet. Maybe commodities or our genetic material is of high value to them)

The subject interesting imo and we would all care if there was some information that was something even remotely solid. At least I don't see anything, no smoking guns, there's almost nothing out there and this memo or whatever is extremely thin lol. If and when something half way verifiable appears, apparent extraterrestrial vehicles or beings recovered it could easily cause a mass societal upheaval. This report was extremely thin though, complete hearsay :D 8)

Not saying it's necessarily more ridiculous. When aliens appear it will obviously make people question their religious beliefs and cause severe psychological distress, total pandemonium. Equally distressing, contemplating there might be no God, no real meaning, there might not even be any other life out there, I can feel my anxiety building up just writing this... :D Belief in aliens seems also a coping mechanism.

Most religious people have been indoctrinated since childhood. So whatever happens, they will stick to their "beliefs". Even if the American government and defence contractors would show craft and bodies of non human origin in their possession, it would not change a thing for very religious people.
It also would not cause any kind of pandemonium. Most people have other and more urgent things on their minds. Even though NHI is the most fascinating subject ever, and the most important event in the history of mankind, total disclosure will not impact peoples daily lives.

What is usually overlooked is that it only takes one NHI craft and one photo of it by reliable witnesses to be able to state several things with certainty:
- we are not alone
- they, whoever they are, or their technology, is here with us
- and they are aware of us
- they are technologically way more advanced than we are
As there are literally millions of witnesses from all over the planet and thousands of photos and videos, I think we can be 100% certain of the four things mentioned above.

I would absolutely love all this stuff to be true. I actually saw one of those triangles with white lights on the corners and a dull red light in the centre right by RAF Cosford in the UK in 1997 about 10.30pm at night. I stopped the car on the Motorway (which is illegal) got out of the care and made my 2 passengers look and admit it was real. At that time I'd never even heard of this type of UFO so assumed it was something secret on a test flight out of the airbase
That said, I find it interesting that first it was saucers, then triangles, then tic-tacs, and now more recently 'orbs'. For me, anything that just drifts in a straight line is a balloon, but what do I know LOL

Apart from technological documentation like photos, I think a sort of psychological contagion can happen, lots of people "see" the same kind of craft because they have been influenced by others. There may also be chemical changes in the brain, like with certain drugs, that produce visions of the same certain kind of beings, some kind of animal or plant or craft or phenomena. Whether these are "real" is the question.

The "there will be panic" argument imo is nonsense. Probably pushed by very religious people within the DoD and intelligence community.
More credible reasons for the silence are the fact that they have been working illegally behind the backs of Congress and many Presidents. Violates the American constitution. The people and companies involved don't want to go to jail.
And NORAD / USAF having to admit they have zero control over North-American airspace is humitiating to them. Non human tech also makes NASA look like a boyscout organisation. Same for US Navy. Especially as those organisation get around 900 billion a year from the US taxpayer.
Also there seems to be a sort of arms race between the USA, Russia and China with regards to reverse engineering attempts of non human advanced tech.
Whoever succeeds first is a clear winner. And has a huge advantage over the others.

Why such an old UAP sighting? Because there were no "drones" at the time, so that fake excuse does not hold up. And the first human to even reach Mach 3 was Capt G. Milburn in 1956.

As the UAPs were measured at going over Mach 7, I think that rules out any craft made by China, Russia or the USA.
The 1952 sightings happened over two weekends. Multiple craft were seen several times, on different dates. As sufficient radar data was gathered, we can also rule out comets / asteroids / meteors / stars and such flying in formation horizontally. Which was one of the many false bs explanations by the Military industrial complex at the time.
