Lou stepped on stage at 315LBS and he still didn’t have enough mass.
Note: Lou placed 10th. Marsh placed 12th.
-
315 and flat like his audiogram results
-
“TENSE YOUR MUSCLES LOUIE”
-
You can tell from that angle, but you know he’s got wrinkles in the back!
-
Ferrigno used possibly the worse posing routine for his built...
doing old school Arnold trademark poses only made his torso look bigger and arms smaller
Had he mimic Yates posing routine he would have looked a lot better.
WooooSHHHHHHHHHHHhhh IFBB

JJ Marsh is so underrated over time. Many people have never heard of him. He had a great physique.
-
Ferrigno came back with a thick blown out midsection, probably from gh, calf implants and his arms smaller than before appearing more boxy.

And carpal tunnel syndrome

When JJ stood next to Lou it’s almost like he’s subliminally telling the crowd to, “ take a look at this hunk of man.” He has a great stage presence.

Quit trying to bully Louie ;D

Never watched the apprentice, did lou actually cry on tv?

Yeah, he sobbed like an infant for little reason. IT must have been his time of the month. Lisa lampenelli bullied the shit out of him.

Did he really weight 315 lbs though? We know people exaggerate.
-
the weiders created the classic mr olympia just for lou to win, i am wondering how much they where paying him per year, he did leave the wbf which signed him to 500k per year. do you think the weiders paid him that ?
-
Bad judging that Louie placed ahead of JJ ::)

The best episode was when Lou proudly told Trump: "I have both hips replaced." ..
Trump looked at him and said " that's why I don't bodybuild" ....Louie twitched twice and left the room.
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHh Yeahhh Buddyyyyyyy

Most likely he was well under 300lbs or else he would have weighed in "officially." Some experts guessed maybe 280lbs.

nj you got that right he was a fucking beast then, that is the most impressive physique i ever seen in a movie.
-
JJ Marsh was very well balanced and deserved better placings. He was smart to get out of the game. I think he only had one pro win?

Lou looked awesome here
He looked awesome for the movie. Better than any Arnold look in the movie and I thought Arnold had some great locks in his movies commando first terminator, but Lou really had it all for his movie.

He was listed at 295 at the 1992 Olympia. He looks way bigger in 1993.
He and Mahmoud "Big Ramy" Ellsbiay are tied for the heaviest bodyweight of an Olympia contender at 316 lbs.

Yes but these are self-reported weights. You can trust them as much as self-reported arm measurements, I don't think you can argue against that. Whether they weighed over 300 is just a guess. Ronnie was supposedly over 300 on stage as well, but again no confirmation. Ronnie also had 0.33% bodyfat.
They only weighed the athletes one year in the late 80s I think, and people were pretty surprised how little they actually weighed.

1988

He was probably at his biggest when he was young.

1988
Thanks

I can't keep Lou's comeback years in order. Looked great one year, but was punished on the scorecards for calf implants. Looked flat another year, supposedly had the flu. Looked pretty good at the Masters O but it was given to Robbie. Calf implants or not I thought he looked better than Robbie.

Gotta love how big Louie pretends he can hear the crowd like a normal person here. Then he immediately tells them to fuck off. Little did they know it at the time, that he had a really bad ear infection as a baby, and that he would have to become a lip-reader and also an eye-reader thanks to the obsession of his precious muscle books
-
No matter what a retard or dick but Louser was beyond big.

Despite all the drugs and implants he looked better in the 1970s / 1980s

If Lou had continued competing he could have become Mr Olympia in the late seventies.
Columbu was genetically very flawed, Lou had better BB genes

Why did he stop competing, also do you think with Lou coming across a bit retarded do you think this would have stopped weider wanting him in the top spot?

If Lou never had the speech impediment and the deafness, and had Arnolds intelligence and business acumen, Lou would have gone MUCH further than he did

Louie's body really loved the GH and he got next level. IIRC Louie had acute surgery on his wrists, he had impingement there, which I say was due to GH. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common side of using GH but if gets bad enough and your hands go numb you have to have surgery quickly.
Those pics in Flex mag in 1992 were otherworldly. Imagine if he would have had GH in the 80s :o
I've told this story before, which was not reported in English mags, how Louie when he arrived in Finland, first complained that the limo picking him up wasn't a Mercedes as he had requested. Then he had to switch rooms several times because the king size beds weren't big enough. Then he caused a power outage due to something he did with the sauna. After the show he had smashed and broken the hotel toilet. My impression was always that the bb world really tried to love him but he wasn't that personable, maybe partly due to the hearing issue. No common sense of how he comes across selling pics. Even if you are a psycho and couldn't care less about others, a normal IQ person would understand that being generous, and especially with your time, really does pay off, even if it's fake

I never heard of Ronnie being 300 onstage. The heaviest weight ever reported on him was 2004, where he was billed at 296 (even bigger, but not quite as cut as he was the previous year at 287).
As for Big Louie, remember the scene in Pumping Iron where all the other competitors except Arnold and Franco are toweling off in the locker room. Lou weighed himself and said he was 268.
Look at him in 1992. It's safe to say he looks 27 lbs bigger than he did in 1975 (295 vs. 268). And in 1993, he was unreal, even bigger than he was the previous year. That looks like 316 lbs to me.
