You can get plain tees for $2.99 at Hobby Lobby (in the U.S.)  Good quality too.

I like plain black tees.

 they used to sell these on the streets of New York. I always thought it was a nice sentiment expressing the views of the modern world. They came in navy, black and white sizes small to XXl.  ;D
