Is this a publicity stunt for his TV show?
I think he may have gotten a new girlfriend or something, not hanging out with weak leftists as much.

Leftwing Arnold is a flop in all sorts of ways. His main fanbase came from the right, and I don't think he'll get it back, but I think he's going for more of a centrist thing now. Lost the right, left doesn't care about him, but maybe he can get back in with the middle.

Yes he has, but during those decades he wasnt the weepy old man he seemed to have turned into in the last 8 years. Why did he change back? Hitting the TRT again? Is he hanging out with a new crew because of that FUBAR show (which now I may at least check out). Going in and being diametrically opposed to the Yentas on the View is a big deal in today’s media landscape.

I figured that, but then I see it was renewed for a second season? What the heck, why? Also, the worst thing Arnold has done is a pretty high bar to clear!

[First season was successful, topped the streaming chart, I'm not sure who it catered for but it was a hit.
It's overdone in forced comedy that doesn't work and trying to create 1 liners, which is never what happened with his previous films, the lines just caught on.
All the side characters are horrible, Arnold's team, well compare them to Predator, a realistic bunch of macho guys and now box ticking variety.
Arnold had a hit, they didn't bother promoting season 2 and it's flopped than God, time to move on.

The unkind interpretation is that Arnold is unprincipled and an opportunist who looks at which angle would be more beneficial for himself, and what politics his powerful circle of friends support. Obviously many people are inauthentic and what they proclaim is not what they believe. Like someone could a leftist outwardly but really is a fascist extreme right winger, depending on what those terms mean to you. I think Arnold is an elitist who believes in hierachies and so on, these extremely ambitious "world conquerors" usually are like that. Remember, Arnold said he admired Hitler. Same as Trump I suspect. At least he wanted as loyal generals as Hitler had.

Even the leftists themselves are condemning "criminal acts" during protests. They may support it but at least officially say otherwise. Arnold didn't really repudiate immigration as such, just condemned criminal activities, nothing radical even from a leftist POV. If he'd said all the "paperless" must be rounded up by ICE and sent back ASAP without due process, that would have been something :D Even Trump caved and said some of the working illegals could probably stay, he specifically said business owners were pressing him on it :D
I don't know how the panel on that show reacted to Arnold, were they shocked and insulted?

Arnold is an immigrant. A legal immigrant who worked hard to become a US Citizen, as did many other immigrants. Came to America, respected America. Got a green card, became a US Citizen. A very proud day. For many immigrants. Which is why so many LEGAL immigrants now support the Republican party. What he said on the view is what many legal immigrants think.

Exactly - I know quite a few immigrants who feel this way. I am half Indian (we don’t use dumbass titles like “Native American”) - and half immigrants whose grandparents escaped the iron curtain to come to America. None of my family supports illegal immigration.
