Jose Canseco is famous for writing the book Juiced, which was a big deal at the time. It seems like he got blackballed before he wrote the book and that's why he wrote it. Says 85 percent of MLB was on steroids and that he injected the four famous names he mentioned in the book.
At his lowest, he was living in a garage for six months.
Interesting interview. The book starts at 1:03:00.

How can you lose $55M and not have any assets or equity to cash out on?
Rappers are exempt from this because they are expected to be stupid.
-
If I recall right he was at one time one of the highest paid baseball players of his era he made most of that money In the late 80s early 90s which was a lot back then

Iron Mike Tyson would be a better choice, or Xzibit, Lawrence Taylor, Antoine Walker

Both Canseco and Bonds are same age, despite Jose missing almost entire 1989 season and many injuries season after season he did reach 400 HRs before Bonds did ....
However, Jose didn't reach 500 HRs while Bonds ended up breaking the all-time record with more than 700! I can understand to a certain degree Jose's frustration being blackballed from MLB by age 36.
WooooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh facts for you bitches
