If I missed anyone please forgive me......I`m doing some tall Valium as I have been feeling like the fucking walls have been closing in on me all day before todays appointment.
Ran out of Valium and the head of Oncolgy was nice enough to prescribe more to make it through the next few days cuz I was extremely anxious and on the verge of a panic attack.
Tomorrow is an Ultrasound,Echo Cardiograph,next day I`m outtta` here.
Hade a Pet Scan 2 days ago, numerous Cat scans, and tons of fucking Chemo......9 hour surgery.....I`m skerred, but I always play the hand I`m dealt, not like in the old days when I would have drank and never even addressed this at all until they found me dead in the streets

Celebrity deaths usually come in threes. This week we lost Ozzy, Hulk Hogan, and Theo Huxstible. Hopefully we are safe with Wes.
Wes may have had either the robotic pancreaticoduodenectomy or a traditional open surgery. Either way, hospital stays following the Whipple procedure (pancreatic cancer surgery) are anywhere from one to two weeks. Full recovery can take several months, with most people returning to normal life within four to six weeks.
Neither Wes nor his wife have posted any updates on their Facebook pages yet, which is to be expected.

Did you Google that information?
Have I missed something?
Always a risk for a complication in surgery but wasn’t this to take the tumor(s) out?
So nothing acutely life threatening?
Apart from his illness Wes is in better condition than 90% of his age group.
I totally believe he’ll be back here once he’s settled again 🤞
Doctor, Political expert, janitor….amazingA Jack of all trades........or maybe just a jackoff.
Really hoping for the best. But understandably wes has lost lots of weight and has diabetes because the pancreas is offline, but hoping it's advantageous to weigh less now. Like you say all surgery involves risk, and more so if weakened with illnesses, diabetes and so on. wes has always maintained such a positive persona on here, got to like him 8)
I don't know if wes is that active on FB, I messaged him there when the board was offline but the message is unread.

I phoned again...voicemailI'm sure he'll post as soon as he gets home. Hopefully he's recovering well.
It's not really my place at all to say, but I was snooping and saw that he's not doing too well. Fingers crossed he pulls through.
Where did you see this?
Hang in there, wes!yes

Wes does not have heart failure he wants to keep his weight up if possible
Taken OFF life support sounds positive, unless it's for "do not revive" reasons. Keep fighting Tim! Actually I don't doubt Tim's will to fight, hoping the planets align in his favor. :)
Yes he mentioned many months ago that a doc said it was positive if he lost some weight before surgery. Recently he has complained of losing an alarming amount weight and his appetite was very poor, couldn't eat. Obviously you'd want to keep some muscle and strength to help you fight illness. This is not about Tim per se, but a measure of probable longevity in the elderly is measuring their grip strength, which I find interesting 8)
Based on the comments, they are saying it in a positive way.

Tim is the heart and soul of Getbig. Bette's message is extremely upsetting. Please everyone, pray for both Bette and Tim to make it through this bump in the road to recovery so he can get back here and give all of Getbiggers hell better than anyone has ever done.

Where is Bette’s message that you are referring to ?
Is it on Facebook ?
.Thank you. When Wes posted that goodbye thread, i had a bad feeling he knew it would be a very risky surgery. My prayers are with him.
Bump for answers. Anyone got any info on Wes?
I don’t want to open this thread or any thread with RIP Wes..That's what I'm afraid of every day.

ah OK...
Recovery could take a while .....
AI Overview
Full recovery from Whipple surgery, also known as pancreaticoduodenectomy, typically takes about 1 to 3 months for most individuals, but it can take up to six months or even a year to feel fully back to normal. The initial recovery period in the hospital usually lasts for 1-2 weeks, with patients being monitored in the ICU or HDU initially. Factors like overall health, the complexity of the surgery, and individual healing rates can influence the duration of recovery
Doctor, Political expert, janitor….amazing
Cue Coach is Back.
A few days ago, when I posted this information about the Whipple procedure, this was Coach's response. Maybe he was being complimentary or maybe not. ;)
Dr Prime can you give us any more info?
Maybe you can be correct again..

Are the AI Sam Elliott and Goldie Hawn shared posts triggering other Getbiggers or only me?its all about priorities...
He seems to have an adderal problem.
Please guys cut the wife slack. This is a super huge deal, it’s up to her to limit herself to posting prayers at this point if that is what is most important for her. All the best!!
We are not angry at her. We just want to make sure that Wes is not dead!

Wes you up yet? Imma keep comin around, til somebody remembas…Somebody should give him his phone in bed while he's recovering so he can post on here. I'm sure he would.
Just when you think bhank could not get any lower, he attacks a dying man's wife...
Wes is in full recovery mode. Who the Fuck is Dying ??
His wife say that he’s pulling out of it?
Bette has not posted anything about Tim or how he is doing as of late. Neither has his sister. It is very frustrating to those of us who are deeply concerned about Tim's recovery. All anyone can do is hope for the best.

I saw his comment then went to his page. He seems to be complaining about his pec repair not going the way he wanted and that his body is failing him.

I miss The Scott. :(WES THE SCOTT
THE ONE ABOVE ALL!
I miss The Scott. :(Where is The Scott?
That was a big ordeal you went through Wes. It takes balls to face it for sure. I've seen a relative who went through it and had a lung removed. Brutal surgery. You feel robbed of something when that happens. Thanks obsidian, what made it worse was the fact that I had over an entire year to dwell on this and trust me.........I was scared shitless.............out of my mind with fear.........it was a case of grow some balls or die.
A sibling's friend is dealing with cancer and she's not 50 yet. The surgery would result in her needing a urostomy bag for the remainder of her life - or some other bypass mechanism. She's opted to not go with it since life would not be worth it for her with all that BS and would rather face death like a warrior.
THIS was a life threatning illness and wes took a longterm i hope chance at living and recovering, agressive inoperable full stage 3/4 pancreatic cancer is a no win/doom outcome some is less than weeks to survive or 1 yr tops if lucky,my grandfather made a yr or so ..i knew a guy through my ex wie a cop ,great guy full of life ,young kids, sharp guy..he lived over 4yrs many procedures and drugs and new therapies it was sad his passing,i said how the the hell did a young guy 45 get this,,,another guy in my gym a strong big powerhouse cop as well he did his share of drugs got it and when i saw him i was like wow he didn't last 6 months.Steve,my doctor told me I could live up to between 2-7 more years..............of course there are always variables.........even 2 years sound better to me than where I was last week.
Where is The Scott?No clue,but I Hope he is well.................to me,he`s a great person.
No clue,but I Hope he is well.................to me,he`s a great person.He's still kickin, had a little trouble but he'll be fine. ;)

Love ya`paisan !! ;)
Thanks obsidian, what made it worse was the fact that I had over an entire year to dwell on this and trust me.........I was scared shitless.............out of my mind with fear.........it was a case of grow some balls or die.I don't blame you. I don't like the idea of receiving general anaesthetics. People have died receiving tooth implants!
You`re friend will be in my prayers.
Welcome back my friend. Elated that you are home and hopefully on the mend. Back in 97, a co-worker and good friend underwent a kidney transplant. At the time he was told that in 10 years he'd need another one. Almost 30 years later, his is still going strong. Before anyone says apples to oranges, my point is that modern medicine and science evolves and while my friends transplant has lasted 3 times the original expectancy, I'm hoping the same will be true of Wes' doctor's estimate of 2-7 years. I'm going with 15-20 more for Wes. Love you buddy.Right back at ya` my brother.........thanks!! ;)
