They look almost identical. Like twin turdlings from the same shithouse.

Yes, crazy. Here’s an odd Brazilian Synthol competitor. Honorable mention, affeman?

Bodybuilding is a sport that by its very nature has to get more and more extreme to keep fans interested. A sport like baseball can keep doing the same basic thing for over a hundred years but bodybuilding fans will always expect competitors to look better year after year.
-
The guys from the 90’s had great physiques. But so many of them, even the top guys destroyed themselves health wise. Most look like they never touched a weight either. And just as many of them died or have health problems like the guys now.

Id be happy if the development topped off around 79 - 88.. No need for Dorian, Dillet, Ronnie, Rhul etc...
Makkawy, Callender, Padilla, Platz, Wilcojz, Johnny Fuller, Scott Wilson, Beckles, Paris, Leidelmeyer, Strydom, Christian, DeMey, Zane, Nubret, Szkalak, Dickerson, Mentzer... all these physiques looked great. No need to get much bigger or more ripped.
Look at miss America and Ms. Universe. Its not like they look much different now in terms of beauty, measurements etc... maybe hairstyles and make up have changed. But beautiful women have remained beautiful.
There's no need for size, freaky mass, to replace, musculature, proportions, condition, the ideal of a Greek statue. You know, like something Michelangelo carved out.

When those guys were popular look at how amazed we were when Haney came along, then Dorian, then Ronnie, ........ People get accustomed to growth (no pun) every year. It's hard to put the genie back in the bottle.

And they are dying left and right; this is not progress.

Not saying it's good but I don't see bodybuilding going back to the past anytime soon.
-
He do they look 'better' than bodybuilders from the 90's?

While true, for the most part, most of the bodybuilding articles, pictures I look at online are from the golden era 70's and 80's. Its what motivates me now just like when I was a teenager.
When there's a contest. I Google it, look at a couple of pictures of the top 2 or 3 guys then forget about it.
I've looked at pics of numerous contests of the early 80's repeatedly. I've never once thought about looking back at the 2018 Arnold Brazil, or the 2017 Santa Susana Pro.... is Paco still winning that one and only show?

I think thats the peak of what a human freak can become
Further than that and the human body wont recover and die.
The ceiling is reached

I consider sport and industry to be 1 individual item. Thus, I used is instead of are. I believe this falls under notional agreement.
If I had considered sport and industry to be 2 individual items, then I should have used are. This should be subject-verb agreement.
To make this less confusing, I admit that I should have typed it as sport/industry.

The competitors get paid more than ever before.
Not according to Derek The Dunce Lunsford.

Squatty piles of shit like Nick Walker and schmoes like affeman are the perfect recipe to just kill the sport off conpletely. Just let it die already…

I bet that's what people were saying since the 70s :D

here's where it should have stayed, IMHO.
