Not so much bad as stupid.

I remember how he was already with serious health problems, and kept stuffing his body with copious amounts of oil, only to look even shittier than he did.

He kept it going until the end, it was stupid crazy and scary. Showing up for dialysis with these awful, awful lumps in the arms.

If I recall correctly, he said he was absolutely terrified of Tim Curry as Pennywise and he'd often piss the bed at night thinking about him. Also, he once confessed to having an irrational fear of disabled people because they, and I quote, 'moved in a funny way.'

Yeah, he was definitely using oil to keep up appearances but we all have our egos to satisfy. Wasn't a bad guy at all. Just an outspoken fella who didn't initially go well with online haters. Anybody who had any profile and didn't react with shrugging it off was absolutely destroyed here. But he existed here for a long time without leaving, though. Arguing with members, yeah but thinking back, did he have arrests or particularly immoral actions? I don't think so.
In a world where we've had true pathological liars since, hell no was he bad.

I have not advocated banning many, if any members, but the level of egregious off topic shit that you are injecting is so high, you need a weeks holiday to contemplate.

I think a lot of ill will towards Derek came because of his arrogance and condescending sense of entitlement. He had a good build that he ruined for no other reason than getting attention to "own the haters". He was never destined to be a pro or win any amateur show of note. But he had a decent build. It was just that constant need for attention to validate his insecurities that ruined him. Even in the end, he was still trying to get attention with all those hideous tattoos.
It's sad when anyone dies that young for such a dumb ass preventable reason. But still with him, no big loss.
