The weight probably didn't seem so light as it was crushing his trachea.

There really are so many idiots out there. I have seen this accident occur numerous time in my time. No serious powerlifter lifts any amount of weight with this grip.

It´s the fast "Bouncing" that caused it not just the grip, guilty of using it myself but maybe a habit i have on rows & Chins using my hands as "hooks" carrying over to other lifts. :-\
I use an over thumbless grip on reverse curls too.. incidently just using my new Captain of Crush Gripper :D

One grip i could never get was the Reverse Grip Bench Press, the Barbarian Brothers could Bench a mass of weight with these.
