Pretty good post career arc compared to most bodybuilders. Who can't imagine themselves without muscles and continue to jeopardize their health, and probably don't get laid as much.
-
Looks healthy.
Who would win in a race paul or Ronnie?
-
Dillet trained like a bitch and never won shit as a pro. The word pathetic comes to mind. He will be forgotten. Did nothing for the sport.

Apart from Arnold they cant be forgotten because no one knows who they are to start with.

:)
He looks like Tim meadows now,,,, German bodybuilder Hoffmann that does all the videos for a retired guy. He wasn’t huge, but he had a good build when he competed. He looks freaking good too no homo good head of slicked back hair.

Dillett trained smart. Ronnie trained like a madman, and look at him now....Paul seems in good health.

Dillett was sensational at the time, only his back needed more training. The rest was top level. And he was 6 ft 1 or 185 cm tall

Honestly he’s way better off staying normal after he was done competing. It’s crazy how wide he was on gear though.
-
Bumped into him at Koo Koo Roo Chicken in Costa Mesa back in the day. :)

And it's crazy how narrow he is off gear. People are always babbling how your clavicles would determine your shoulder width, but this guy was the widest person on the planet on juice and looks like his clavicles were surgically removed nowadays.

enough about him. What about his lady?

I’d trade the Mr Olympia show for the next 10 years for a single Koo Koo Roo meal at this point. So good. They were supposed to be reopening one in LA in 2025 but that looks like it stalled.

Lee haney trained smart. Ronnie was the victim of a bad spotter. Brian dobson has told the story before, Ronnie was squatting 585 and had asked a new guy at the gym for a spot. The guy didnt know what he was doing and forced ronnie to lean forward at the bottom and on the second or third rep he blew a disc. For whatever reason Ronnie trained through it and years later the injury ended his career. Fast forward to all the surgeries etc we have watched over time have all been the result of that injury.

This makes zero sense. Who asks a new guy at the gym for a spot for a 585lb squat. Seriously total bullshit. Just cause some guy told the story doesnt make it true.

No this seems logical.
Mr. Olympia would walk up to some new guy at the gym and ask him for a spot on squats, it was probably super busy and Brian couldn’t step away from the front desk, he was collecting membership fees. If the spotter had his hands on Ronnie’s chest when he was going down he’d probably been okay.
Or MAYBE the guy may have leaned in a little to close and would have grabbed Ronnie a little tight, to tight some would say, and as Ronnie was going down his glutes thrusting back threw this guy off balance causing him to stumble and fall forward into Ronnie and all the weight crashed down onto his neck and Ronnie ends up paralyzed.
It all could have played out so differently.

that or maybe he caught a glimpse of Ronnie’s online and became infatuated, therefore forcing him to lean forward for a better view

I doubt anyone trained in a specific way with a view for life after bodybuilding. IMO training styles are picked due to personality quirks mostly. Training style is hard to change even if you read or reasoned that another style would be better, so to speak. Dillet looked like he wasnt quite in control of his body whether training or posing LOL.
I think Cormier had some back issues as well, I think he had blown it squatting a relatively low weight as an amateur. Sometimes smallish things can seemingly cause long term issues. At work a guy blew out his back picking up a piece of paper LOL. Was it a work injury... sure why not :D

I know that story sounds odd but it’s not unusual for someone to suffer a major issue doing a common activity.

Dillet had the most impressive build I have ever seen. Those shoulders and arms were fucking nuts.

The chicken was great, but the sides were sublime.
Per wiki, there were supposed to be new locations by now.

Original sides, cracked wheat rice with onion and tomato and cucumber salad, with lavash bread. After some time they went into mac and cheese (which was good) and things a little less healthy.

Dobson said ronnie would ask any big guy for a spot and this new guy was there and clearly intimidated by the weight he was hugging ron too close, caused ronnie to almost fall forward and almost immediately they heard the disc blow

I still don't believe it. I've been in gyms for many decades and it does not have the ring of truth. We're talking 6 plates per side here. C'mon, think.
And being generous and assuming it did happen then the cause isn't the new big guy, but Ronnie being an idiot. And if it didn't happen then, it would have happened some other time.

Dillet still walks, and with both his legs.
