I have no problem with anyone who wants to come here through the same legal process that my grandparents came here through. Very simple.
After they go through the immigration process they can apply for citizenship. If they commit any felony person crimes, get caught with illegal forearms, sell dope or steal cars or are convicted of any crimes whatsoever, they can get the fuck out and never be allowed back.
If they get citizenship, they're entitled to the same rights as anyone else.

Or say if they are African Catholics, with supposedly the same values. People will still naturally divide themselves based on color in many cases. An Indian boss will naturally be inclined to hire other Indians and so on. I think even the avowed color blind civic nationalists very well understand this but just can't bring themselves to say race matters.

No. Race is irrelevant. The problem with the African or S. American or Mexican immigrant to the US has a lot to do with the behaviors that are taught, encouraged, tolerated and indoctrinated AFTER they arrive in the US of A.
Even if they arrive as wholly immoral, filthy, violent, savages, if the conditions in the US were different, a return to values, return to common sense, reasoning, civic debate, education, those savages would assimilate to the expectations of society. Most of the bullshit that is spouted by the left and/or right is X "ism" whether its race, religion, ethnicity, gender, etc.(but to be 100% clear most of the bullshit comes from the left).. its taking the abhorrent behavior of some and attributing it to all. Immigration has always existed. There is nothing wrong with legal immigration. But if you begin your American journey by breaking the very first law you encounter , you will not respect the country, its laws, its people or its history. And if you don't respect those things specifically the law and its citizens, then you can't be tolerated. You must get the fuck out. I would even say if you have a shitty criminal record, you shouldn't be allowed entry in the first place.
But we live in. Backwards times. We have politicians, elected officials, who are behaving worse than most immigrants act. To quote a well known politician "we are a nation of immigrants but we are also a nation of laws." And we have mayor's and senators and governors and representatives who are openly encouraging violence toward law enforcement, advocating law breaking, threatening the president, or many are even openly racist. The problem isn't the country or color of the immigrant, the problem is left wing politics.
My beliefs would probably be different if I lived in France or Germany or many European countries that have gone to shit. Those countries should maintain their heritage, history, customs and above all protect themselves from the invasion. But The U.S. has to have some respect for our own history and recognize that a nation of immigrants can exist successfully, can assimilate, tolerate each other given how we all got here (native Indians notwithstanding.)

I understand living in the melting pot it affects things. I know there's a lot of debate on what America was envisioned as by the founding fathers and what it should be now. I'm an outsider but from my readings the founding fathers perhaps didn't believe in the compatibility and equality of all races. There was the Naturalization Act of 1790 that restricted immigration to "free white persons of good character." One hero of American history is the abolitionist Abraham Lincoln. But look what he said, despite seeing slavery as immoral:
"There is a natural disgust in the minds of nearly all white people to the idea of indiscriminate amalgamation of the white and black races . . . . A separation of the races is the only perfect preventive of amalgamation, but as an immediate separation is impossible, the next best thing is to keep them apart where they are not already together."

Georgia passed a tough anti-immigration law back in 2011, HB 87. The result was that Georgia was short thousands of agricultural workers and suffered ~$140,000,000 in crop losses. There was no one to pick the fields, and the crops rotted on the stalk. They attempted to substitute prisoners for the migrants next year, but it was ineffective.
Fortunately for Georgia, a court issued a permanent injunction staying the law in 2013.
Seems like we are poised to repeat this experiment, but on a national scale this time. Oh boy …

I think illegal immigration is a problem in the US but it is not even top ten in issues. I think the sheep, and ignorant are making this their biggest issue. Which is what the rich elites want. I am lucky that I have been able to climb the socio-economic ladder from being raised in a conservative high middle class family and most of my family is middle class. It is very clear that while the peasants fight over their 1 % and blame brown/black folks they lose sight of what is actually happening. The real anger in America is because most people can no longer afford things. 1% of the population owns 98% of the resources. That is the real issue.
Capitalism has grown unchecked, and that is the problem. I make most of my income as capital gains so the taxes are outrageous as it is, but the problem is that there are too many loop holes and the wealthiest get out of paying most of their taxes. Look at wealth inequality since Reagan with his tax cuts. That is the problem. Again I benefit from these tax cuts but what benefit can I have now that I finally made it if the people around me are all in a bad situation.
Illegal immigration has actually subsidized food prices en masse for Americans, and most illegals pay into social security and will never benefit from it. If you remove them when the economy is bad its going to hurt the wallet of Americans. Yes, we need true immigration reform. The reason we do not have it is that the corporations profit from their hard work ethic, and the low wages they can pay them.
There has been an erosion of American values as well, and not the ones you think. All this bs of Christian values, that is not the problem. Our immigrants (legal or illegal) are mostly Christian. The values I am talking about is the work ethic. Our great grandfather's worked their farms, and their children did as well. Now we hire poor immigrants, and our children do not have the work ethic, or skills to since they were never taught to have to do that.
The real solution to our problem is remove all politicians from office, ban trading on markets for any elected officials and their immediate family, bring forth new elections, delete gerrymandering do vote by county or through citizen elected commissions, and employ a flat tax. After these problems are fixed we can work on true immigration reform. With the problems we are facing it should not be top 5 if it will push us further into economic decline. Also the cost to remove all of these illegals is more than a trillion dollars over 10 years, we could probably do something better with that money since we are no longer economically viable as a nation. If we were wealthy and had less issues I would have no issues with it.

I am not a leftist, nor am I wrong. Look at corporate income taxes. That is the problem. Read it it may help you bruh.
Also I am not advocating for higher taxes. I am advocating for a flat tax on which all people pay the same tax percentage regardless of capability of earnings. Hardly a leftist viewpoint. I believe if we remove all tax loopholes, and make sure that corporations pay their fair share then we would not be in the situation we are. The sheeple don't see that corporations are controlling our government. The same people who complain about proper taxation probably do not even make enough to pay taxes, or pay a small share. People like Warren Buffet believe corporations should pay their fair share, which they don't.

Flat tax or some sort of uniform sales tax on goods across the board. Taxes are too difficult for a normal person, let alone a business. CPAs just figure out ways to beat the taxman, and it just seems dumb. This coming from a guy who tries to beat the taxman yearly.

Behavior is affected by socioeconomics, upbringing, culture and so on, like the leftists and some conservatives say but most people simply can't bring themselves to include genes in it, which I think is the biggest contributor. Why is it so scary? You can still treat everyone fairly and decently without oppressing them, I think.
Like I said in another thread, US conservative civic nationalists, for example, claim to be so reality based, unlike the leftists, but are so strongly married to the antiracist perspective they go liberal on this... just IMHO of course 8)
