Title: Illinois state legislature passes assisted-suicide bill

Not sure what I think about this.  I think people should be able to end their own lives.  I don't think doctors should be involved.

Agreed. I don't think government should be involved either.

I can't believe it's illegal. If you don't a right to your own life/death you have no rights at all. Has anyone ever gone to jail for attempted suicide?

Good question. The answer is yes folks have been arrested and charged with attempted suicide which has been and still is in some situations a crime, possibly even a felony depending on various circumstances.

They should give them the death penalty.

They would just plead self defense.  Claim they were defending themselves from the person who was killing them.
