Yes, the award was for his film work, but when did people not give a shit about what he and other famous people are involved in that is simply wrong and evil?
I swear hollywood would reward a serial killer for his film work as long as serial killer makes the industry money!
What happened to integrity, character, decency, empathy for others, or shame?
It is shocking to me that someone can be the public face of a evil cult, knows what goes on and turns a blind eye to it all, meanwhile being documented ass kiss 24/7 for decades by is "religion", make the best friend of his "religion" a sociopath whose wife has not been seen in public for 20 years and counting, a dead beat father who abandoned his own daughter for 10 years and counting, a guy who can't keep a wife, you know the women who had to live with the man and so on and so on...And this has been going on for decades and no media even ever ask him these questions that should have been answered years and years ago and they allow him to get free pass all these years! he TELLS THEM they are never allowed to ask him these questions and the media (who of course are celebrity worshippers and celebrity wannabees themselves!) agree!...
And not only does hollywood not give a shit, but these over the top worshipping praise and comments posted online from the public about Cruise!...
Is this world now the majority of celebrity worship, that they could care less about what he and others do and have done to others, as long as little ole them are "entertained"...
Even when told what's he and others are all about, people STILL STILL don't care, don't want to know, don't believe it!
"that's his private life, it's none of my business???" I just like his movies!"... Who care about those OTHER people as long as he and his cult haven't done anything bad to little ole me!" mentality?!
How have so many in society lost their way and think like this?
Not just Cruise, but other celebs! "Hey, he shot 5 people, but he didn't try to shoot me, I still like his (insert music, athletic ability, etc)...
Is this where we are? Sure, we have the cosby, combs and the weinstein's once in a while, but that is the very minute minority.
The reality is that Cruise is culpable to more crime than these 3 put together.. He is complicit in the abuse (financial, emotional, physical) of thousands of people in that cult, not to mention what the cult has done to it's critics (stalking, harassing, suing, etc) because he best friend with the orchestration of it all by the leader....
I guess I expect too much from human behavior...Who we are, who we ALL are is SUPPOSE to be more important that what we do for a living or if were are famous....

Well deserved Oscar for Tom Cruise. He's a consummate professional, incredibly hard worker and great actor.
Definitely among my favorites all-time.

Cocktail was good, the colour of money a bit better. Top gun was OK. The comedy one with him and the chicky was super good.
The MI series were insane.

I am not a movie buff to the extent where I appreciate really good work, I do however think that Mr. Cruise has earned that oscar and have not seen a movie of his where I thought he seemed anything less than believable.
