Title: nolva=catabolic?
Post by: delta9mda on May 06, 2006, 11:15:49 AM
was talking with a national level pro about nolva and he actually was telling me they are finding it to be pretty catabolic. i was told arimidex is better but you have to pay through the nose for it. any comments?

It can have a negative effect on muscle growth during a cycle. I may be wrong about this, if I am someone correct me, but if I remember correctly it can reduce the bodies IGF levels. Letrozol and arimidex do not have this affect, so I find them to be a better choice.

Another note, nolva doesn't actually reduce estrogen levels, which can be a good thing at times because this can help promote a healthy immune system. A-dex on the other hand does block estrogen, which in some cases may be the preferred route.

Nolvadex is not catabolic.

That's a reach.

It alters the potency of the AAS it's used with, but to say it's catabolic is ignorance.

Arimidex is an anti-aromatase, completely different class of drug.

Of course it's better.

Sure it's catabolic... if you consider excessive water retention and gyno to be anabolic ;)
who knows, some people like looking like a bloated powerlifter while on.

^I am one of those bloated powerlifters!    ;)

For me it's all about the strength.....not the beauty.
