Terrible tragedy for the Reiner family.  I have only seen two of Rob Reiner's movies (Misery and A Few Good Men), but I loved both.  I initially boycotted watching A Few Good Men after the first time I watched it, because the two Marines were convicted of a non-existent offense:  conduct unbecoming a Marine.  That offense under the Uniform Code of Military Justice ("conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman") only applies to officers.  The two marines in the movie were enlisted.  I hate when movies get fundamental issues like that wrong.  Took me many years to get over it.  When I did and watched the movie again, it became one of my all-time favorites.  And it has one of Hollywood's all-time best scenes ("you can't handle the truth").

Thank you Rob Reiner for making such great movies.  Rest in peace.

Yours are appropriately nice reflections on Rob Reiner. This is what one expects of people who have compassion and civility, such as you do.

Nick Reiner was a bad seed right out of the womb.

His parents should have hired a better nanny to raise him.

Sometimes good people with the best of intentions and unlimited resources just have a bad seed and nothing is going to change it.  I know great parents with troubled, shitty kids and I know parents who are terrible whose kids are amazing.  All anyone can do is their best.

While Reiner was an obvious TDS sufferer, I think Trump should have just kept the bold parts, but he just can't.

Quote
A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS. He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!

Unlimited resources is the problem.
