Arnold was never a fighter.
Remember a Ric Drasin video where he spoke about a "fight" Arnold had in the Gym, he said it was a joke
-
Cool .... however, they should have used Arnold's Red Heat look would have been even better than the real thing (Bono's voice)

You are aware that is a make believe fight in movies right ...all you need is a good director and decent camera angles.
I miss Ricks anecdotes .... I wonder whatever happened to his wardrove after his passing ..
He was known for having the biggest collection of Afflictions muscle shirts (even bigger than Dexter Jackson)

Yeah his Russian hairstyle!

It would've sucked so bad. Arnold doesn't have the ability to look scary. As mentioned, Red Heat was his toughest look, and it pales in comparison. Also he wouldn't be able to get a fighters build, he wouldn't be able to lose the bodybuilder look even smaller. Also Dolph was a legit fighter for years, he knows movement, etc.....

Yeah but I also heard in another interview that Arnold was a quite a beer drinker in Austria and had a reputation for getting into bar fights in his youth, or maybe when he was in the military.
But, just looking at his acting, he always looked fairly uncoordinated and clumsy during his fight scenes especially in his earlier movies like Commando, Conan and Raw Deal.

Dolph was the perfect Drago. No one could have done it better. Plus he was cheap.
-
Don't think he would have been able to move around like a boxer in the ring, unless he'd done a lot of training for the role.
On the other hand, Lundgren already had fighting training and experience.

Yes he was often in The Trenches before Battling for Olympia, it was a WAR!

He would crush all other action stars from the 80's and 90's in a real fight.

Dolph Lundgren made his spectacular debut as Drago in Rocky then it was downhill for him from there on ....

Very tough fighters. Mas Oyama (the founder) was a badass.
