Why are black women judges?

Being a juror should be a well paying career. The current system makes no sense. No one is happy when they get their jury duty notice in the mail. People try to get out of jury duty once they know they have been chosen. One of the most searched question on Google is “How to get out of jury duty”.

Why don’t they employ the same team of jurors year round? Trials would always have jurors available, the jurors would be trustworthy, and the employed jurors would put their heart and soul into doing a thorough deliberation.

I had lunch with a judge once during my jury duty day.

Society rests on three boxes, right?  Ballot box, jury box, what’s the 3rd one?

The only people who like being called in are brokies. Don't they pay like $12 a days?

$5/day.

I've been called several times in the past but never had to go.

The poorest, dumbest, most judgmental people love being on juries. The absolute worst people to be on one.

As dumb as the average 12 people are, would you prefer some “expert class”?  How long before they are bought and paid for like the Covid experts. A jury of 12 Oaks?  No thanks.

The prosecuting and defense attorneys would have to agree to those on the jury even if they were pros.

Tha judge should be disbarred.  :(

I'm sure it is different in each location. Where I am they do it by voter rolls. So, if you don't register to vote you don't get summons.
