Does embalming fluid smell like napalm? Maybe he'll be pleased in the afterlife.

So many great roles, can't pick just one. Also didn't embarrass himself in old age like so many other old actors.

Was great in everything he did. Of course Apocalypse Now, also great in Colors, really fucking good acting in that one. Made Sean Penn look like a hack.

Really can't think of any of his movies that I didn't like, even melodramatic films like Tender Mercies was only engaging because of his performance.

RIP.

RIP. Great actor. One of my favorites. Tom Hagen, Captain Augustus "Gus" McCrae. etc. Lonesome Dove is actually a great TV series. I think I liked it more than 1883.

He also had a minor role in Bullit with Steve McQueen. Really lovable actor. Always seemed reasonable in his roles.

Have you seen the HBO Edition of Godfather 1 and 2? It's over 7 hours long. I have it on my Plex server. Lots of extra scenes that some versions omit. For example Clemenza visiting the restaurant just before Paulie is killed by Rocco after looking for mattresses.  ;D

Just bringing this back up cause I found this hilarious -

.

Duvall had to apologize, he blamed it on Jimmy Caan making funny gestures in the audience, but Winters was hurt by it.
