They can hack the system but AI will hunt the cyber punks down, and make sure we all have enough fresh water to drink.

Cyber terrorism is often attributed to this or that US adversarial state. I don't know much about these things but still isn't it hard to do? I've seen some supposed experts say it's almost impossible to positively attribute to someone specific as you can cover your tracks "easily." For example with ransomware attacks they don't even know who is demanding or even receiving the ransom funds if they are paid, which it's said companies often do without telling the public.

Here's a recent example:

"U.S. officials suspect Iranian hackers breached internet-connected automatic tank gauge (ATG) systems at gas stations in multiple U.S. states in May 2026, altering display readings without changing actual fuel levels or causing physical damage."
