The new Whitehouse Press Secretary Katie Zacharia debuts this morning. Isn't she great? So accomplished, plus she can read the pages on the podium. LOL!
At least she doesn't come off as having a huge attitude problem. And she does not seem to be smug like her predecessor Karoline Leavitt, who was also a blond. Gotta love those blond gals.
I hear she has a law degree. However, bar association records for all 50 states and Washington, D.C., show no listing of Zacharia as having passed the bar or that she is a licensed attorney. A law degree does not authorize a person to practice law in the U.S. It is possible for her to have worked in China without a U.S. license, but her claims of being “outside counsel” to major international institutions like the IFC and World Bank are considered unlikely without bar admission.

Her law degree is from Pepperdine School of Law in California.

Early life and education
Katie Black[1] was born in 1984 or 1985.[2] She attended Pepperdine University, graduating from its liberal arts college in 2007 and from its law school in 2011.[3] At Pepperdine, she served as president of its chapter of College Republicans.[1] Zacharia interned at the Republican National Committee in 2006[4] and for the White House Office of Political Affairs in the George W. Bush administration.[5] She served as an assistant to Pepperdine's president, Andrew K. Benton, from 2007 to 2008 and was a research assistant to Jim Gash.[3]
Career
After graduating from Pepperdine University,[6][7] Zacharia spent three years in Beijing, China, where she worked as an outside counsel for the World Bank Group.[8] She served as president of the Christian Legal Society. She later worked as a political commentator for Newsmax.[5] By September 2025, Zacharia had worked as legal advisor for Fix California, a political organization; had served on the board of advisors at White Rose Resistance, an antiabortion advocacy group; and was a member of the Pepperdine University School of Law's dean council. She had additionally served as director of development for special projects at Pepperdine University.[3]
Zacharia became deputy assistant secretary of homeland security for public affairs in February 2026.[9][10] She announced her resignation the following month.[11] According to CNN, Zacharia, who lived in California, told an associate that commuting to the Department of Homeland Security's headquarters in Washington, D.C., was not sustainable.[4] In June, Zacharia became a communications advisor to the Trump Media and Technology Group.[12

Hard to follow Leavitt, and she'll get better and figure it out.
But I'm sure the left and their ilk are ready to pounce on any perceived shortcoming in the interim, as evidenced by this thread.
Par for the course.

Would hit.
Would be upper echelon in the political WYHI thread too.

She's one hot milf.

I don’t know much about her except that she’s hot af so she wasn’t even on my radar. My choice would’ve been Alina Haba or Scott Jennings. Sorry using voice to text while I’m driving.

Why are you apologizing for using voice to text while driving?

Being a law graduate and a licensed lawyer are two different things. There seems to be no evidence she has ever passed the bar in any state.
