I personally think places like Facebook are great. I can easily sift through all of the mind-control, conspiracy theories, and fear mongering. However, it's the majority of people (who are stupid lemmings) that social media becomes a brain-rotting, death trap.
For me, it's like having the knowledge of the library of Alexandria, in the palm of you hands.
For the mouth breathers, they still think it was a missile that hit Florida yesterday.

Instagram and TikTok are basically slot machines engineered for addiction.
The randomness of naked women, food, travel destinations, life hacks, get-rich-quick schemes, and the most bizarre shit imaginable makes it even worse.
You never know what you're going to get next, so you keep scrolling, chasing that next dopamine hit. Unlike an actual slot machine, you can consume hundreds of these little dopamine traps in a matter of minutes, absolutely frying your attention span with an endless stream of brain-rot content.

70% is AI generated, at speed where the data noise explosion is so big, people can't come close to consuming visually what is uploaded.
The game has shifted to a data war. Your aim should be how the hell do you get your brand/product to be recommended by AI and then how the hell can you get a consumer to type your name into their AI.
AI makes your world smaller. Far, far smaller. It also makes your requirement of a digital footprint smaller if you know what you are doing which is how you answer the above.
